There was a problem sending your system information to Battle.net. Please check your internet connection, close all applications and try again. For further assistance, please visit Battle.net

Apparently my internets don't work D:.... I don't have the patience for this shit.

Had the same problem. Keep clicking "Send" and it'll work after a dozen of tries! :lol
Once again, mine worked when I actually "hold" the send button for 5 seconds and then released the mouse button. Weird, but true!

I need to have a blizzard game on my account to do this, I don't play wow and don't have my 10 year D2 or SC cd key, am I screwed?

Yes. You are screwed.

1. You need to have battle.net account. You can create one if you don't have it. Takes around 2 minutes.

2. You need to ATLEAST own one PC Blizzard game (If you don't and desperately want the Beta, I suggest you go here: http://www.blizzard.com/store/browse.xml?f=c:1 )

3. You need to be in North America.

4. If the file SystemCheck_enUS.exe is not downloadable and you know you qualify for the first 3 steps then try clearing your cache and opening a different browser if it still doesn't work.

5. If the SystemCheck_enUS.exe gives you "There was a problem sending your system information to Battle.net. Please check your internet connection, close all applications and try again. For further assistance, please visit Battle.net", don't be alarmed. Their servers are being hammered by everyone and their mother. Keep on trying and try restarting your computer if it doesn't work after 20 or so tries.

If all is set and done then all I can say is "Good luck, the waiting game begins here." Last but not least, as mentioned above, the game MIGHT ONLY work in Intel chips. Also, even though high-end PC is not a requirement, just make sure your system is decent enough to play games.

Through some sorcery I have all the keys from the previous Blizzard games. I have an active WoW sub, Diablo 2 + xpac, Starcraft + xpac and WC3 + xpac all tied to the account. Blizzard has always forsaken me in previous beta tests but I'm a shoe in for this one... Right...?

Right?

RIGHT?

welp looks like my dreams have now been shattered.

First time and everything sent! :D

So this is why Neogaf has been acting up?

Weird that its not reading OCed processors right....

I fully expect Onimusha 5 to be announced for PS3/360 and a new Wii game
Well, I'm sure that would explain why Blizzard are so slow at releasing ga...wait a minute.

Anyway, I like the openness of that FAQ, at least we all know this isn't some first come first served rubbish, that said, I hope I get in.

Yeah, I would have thought that by now that CPU reading software would work properly, but overclocking seems to defeat them.

I forgot my 5 year old Battle.net account info. Luckily I had my Diablo 2 and Starcraft CD cases so I made a new one and added them to my new one and submitted my specs.

Took me a while but I too was finally able to send my info after like the 50th try lol

Stupid user agreement was making the process ten times slower.

For you maybe.

Why the hell don't you have any Blizzard games? And why do you think you'd deserve a Beta slot?

So... the people complaining of not having any Blizzard games or a WoW account... I can only think of one of two things...

1. You don't enjoy Blizzard games enough to have ever purchased one...so you're probably not their target audience. You probably don't deserve to be a part of the beta (in their mind).

or

2. You're a pirate. Then you really don't deserve to be in the beta.

Optionally, if you can't find your CD keys for your older Blizzard games, there are online services which will sell Diablo 2 (and maybe even Warcraft 3 / Starcraft) keys online that have been confirmed to authenticate just fine with Battle.Net for just a couple of bucks. Sorry, no link here.

This post is almost guaranteed to infuriate someone.

Rabid, crazed, angry fanboyism at its finest.
Simple amazing. All this for posting a screenshot and writing out the word: "Fail."

Yeah, I kept keys for 10+ year old games installed on a computer I no longer use.
I'm not a WoW player. *gasp*
Therefore, I'm not their target audience and don't deserve to be in beta. :lol
Even better yet, I'm a pirate (arrrrrgh) and REALLY don't deserve to be in the beta. :lol :lol :lol

So now I gotta either re-buy extremely old games or be flamed by a few insane people for not being a Blizzard fanboy, undeserving of S2 beta, lol.

So fucking hilarious. Only on GAF...

Well yes, that is exactly the point, to be honest, there is nothing wrong with Blizzard looking for active members of their userbase to come forward to be a part of upcoming betas, and battle.net accounts are a great way of finding them.

Sorry, but a meltdown-esque post achieves what exactly? If you don't care about Blizzard games enough to have any of them to hand, why do you even have any interest in applying for the Starcraft 2 beta, let alone feel entitled to it above others who do have an active interest?

Edit: You don't even have to have the games installed, just register a battle.net account and use the CD-Keys there, that's it. Hopefully that's not too hard for you.

I have a feeling a ton of Mac users will be entering. I know my friends and I all are and that's +4 right there. :lol

Hopefully they want to test all different Mac's and many of them :P

Yeah, I own about 4 different copies of D2+expansion, 3 copies of SC+expansion, WC3+exp, and i had, at one point or another, 3 different wow accounts. I log into battlenet today and i have NO games attached. Luckily I could merge one of my wow accounts, but I have no idea how i'd get ahold of my SC, WC3, D2 keys.

Pro-tip: Write your serial #s in a text file and keep it on your computer or better yet in an e-mail on a yahoo/google server where it will be saved forever.

Makes it a hell of a lot easier if you revisit old games like I do, copy + paste >>> type 16 characters over and over again.

I bought Diablo 2 & LOD 4 times because of moving/losing the game and WC3 at least twice, let's just say that battle.net CD Key registration is the biggest life saver ever.

Yeah, I should have done that, I have lost count of games I have had to rebuy because of lost manuals/cd keys, it is the main reason I love Steam/GoG.

Move a few times, and we'll see how many PC game cases you still have :p
I'm good with game cases, manuals are where I fail hard, I don't even know where the hell they end up half the time after a move.

How hard is it to keep your keys? For all the games I no longer have boxes of, I just typed in all the keys in a spreadsheet, printed it out and added it to my game collection. Now whenever I want to play some older game I just pull out the sheet and there's all of my codes.

i hope my system is good enough for them :D
