Ive gone for 94. But I wouldn't be surprised if it's a lot lower just due to a lot of salt these days from reviewers who are supposed to be impartial but you can tell that they have a certain platform preference.

The salt is real guys, it's meltdown city out here.

With a game this big and ambitious there will usually be some tedious things that will be used against itself in the reviews. They won't turn their cheek on some shortcomings like BOTW or Elden ring. And to me those games do deserve their ratings. Both masterpieces, especially ER. I feel Bethesda/MS won't receive the same treatment as Nintendo or From get.

With all that I still think it'll hit 90-93

It's amazing the only MS seems to not have any reviewers in its clutches. Unlike Sony and Nintendo. Truly amazing.

I was initially on the 92 / 93 train some weeks back because obviously a Bethesda SP RPG at launch is going to be a broken tier bugfest, but hearing some people with the game saying that there are little to no bugs in the 10's of hours they played, gives me hope. Would still rely and wait for reviews more.

I can see this getting into the low 90s off of merit alone but typical Bethesda (i.e. creation engine) low points will keep it from going any higher

I think it should come in around the 90-95 range, however there could be a few outlets that may wish to dock points for it being exclusive.
I have no doubt there will be some reviews that will have "it's a shame that this game isn't available for people on PS5) written in them.
You just know someone is going to use that in their summary.

As for GOTY, you would think this one is going to be disputed by various outlets. Some will have Zelda, some will have BG3, and some will have Starfield.
All three I think legitimately could claim GOTY.

I also think we all need to be very careful not to use Geoff Ks Game Awards as the default for GOTY.
What works best for a PC audience might not fit well at the Game Awards, for instance. I see no reason why Geoff should be given default control over the Awards season as well as the other shows he has lined up.

I'm going to say 80 something. MS is locked into the " second place thought mentality " that makes people harder on them. Ps3 suffered the same thing. Even uncharted got mostly 80s

Uncharted should have been in the 70s, the first game is actual shit if you didn't play it as a Fanboy
