Starfield update Free Lanes & Terran Armada Developer Deep Dive

I love the idea of cruise mode. Been holding off completing so looking forward to April 7! Also my newborn is due April 6 so not sure how much time I will have to play it lol

Terra Armada seems interesting but the base game remains basically the same

They havent even acknowledge the big complaint everyone had which is finding the same places of interest over and over. Seriously?

Fuck off Bethesda lol
i think bethesda should have focused more on the main planet hubs they already have . most of the missions tell us to travel to some planet for a side quests. issue is i dont weant to do tht i want to stay in the same area , i dont want to be told to do soemthing thats not what these bethesda games ever were, if i didnt like it i didnt have to do it. here you have no choice but to travel and it feels like a fetch quest ,they have made it a bit mroe funn adding random events and a better crew but man they need alot more for this game to be even close to mass effect 2. for one why ycant they give us roles for npcs so we have pilot cooks mechanics weapons smiths.etc. this would give us so much, we would have actualy have reason to have and go for better npc and reason to travel.

This is really the main problem.

Starfield is too ambitious for them considering they really only have made games featuring only "1 planet" with tons of handcrafted PoI's and their games are at most only a region of a much larger world. Putting 120 star systems with 1437 planets(there's more but some are Gas Giants and non-traversable) you can land on with copy paste PoI's just isn't the way.

In a game that only has 4 major cities among 1000+ planets that's pretty awful.

But as a Premium Edition owner since launch I'll take my free DLC and enjoy probably another 100 hours in a new universe that has stuff added to it.

Tbh, this is more than I thought it would be. I had very little faith that any mechanics would change, outside of maybe some new abilities.

These new updates sounds very good. If Bethesda actually manage to implement them well and improve on the game I might return to it to give it another chance.

"Ab Astris Ad Terram" is a brand new short in "The Settled Systems," Starfield's animated anthology series. Witness the Terran Armada at the height of its power, where their robotic army wields flawless coordination and ruthless efficiency to wreak havoc on the people of the Settled Systems.

The events of this episode lead directly into the opening of the Terran Armada DLC story content

It's acknowledged in the newest update and was one of the highlighted improvements in this version. You're not going to be running into the same outpost an hour later.

Downloaded it again, played for 5min, cruise mode was home, when I tried fly in planet, ship bounced off and just slid around it like planet had invisible barrier. Still had to sit through loading screens to land, so uninstalled then.
Useless

It looks like it released incomplete and it's selling it's patches as DLC.
I fear that by the time I've decided that there is enough product ther to justify a purchase, the game is going to have more DLCs than Dead or Alive 5.
