Pretty good episode.

I wonder though who would win in a serious fight between an earth ship with the asgard shield and weapons (which owned the powerfull Ori ships) and that weird new alien ship?

considering how fast orion (in atlantis?) went down and the fact that alien ship wasn't really laying much of a hurt on destiny (which was already assumed to be in terrible shape) .... i would assume the human ships are far stronger than the aliens ships encountered

Well didn't they say the aliens were also in an Ancient ship? That thing probably isn't in tip-top shape either.

The alien ship wasn't even attacking Destiny. All the explosions came from Destiny's weapons overloading the systems.

Really enjoyed that. But what's coming up is even more enticing: Rush is back and loyalties on the ship are now going to be sorely tested.

I think they took way too long getting to this point. They should have cut out half the filler in the first half of this season. It dragged the whole thing down to the excitement of a dying thing. But, you know, TV execs get horribly set against heavily-serialized series and act all surprised when ratings fail because everything - plot and characterization - is progressing too slowly. However, I will admit they spent more than a fair amount of time fleshing out the key players in the series, and perhaps beat it to death in some ways with those damned stones.

That one wasn't bad. Next one goes straight into facepalm territory however.

Don't say that. :/

The
coup
makes zero sense. Aliens just attacked the ship, kidnapped a crew member, and they only got her back because of an accident with the stones and Rush? Pfft!
Who needs the military now?
Let's flush them all and piss away our survival changes because they guy we tried to frame for murder took it badly!

It's just yet more pointless melodramatic padding. This accomplishes nothing. It's the kinda thing that will be instantly nulled once chair guy wakes up.

To be fair to them, he did try to kill the one person who could've brought them all home.

*edit, decided to not img link it in case people spoiler flamed me...

Someone will probably make a better one... I'm using gimp and can't figure out how to get rid of the "flash" when it loops, anyone got tips?

Oh and SGU needs to be more like last nights episode... it's finally getting interesting!

Can someone explain why epicboobs was crying at the end? I mean what she said before was embarassing, but not that embarassing.

Seriously though, those things are huge.

BigBoss agrees.

Decent episode.

I have to agree with Freshmaker, though.

This show is trying to inject BSG drama, but it doesn't quite appreciate context. Internal crew drama always pops up at the worst time, and character reactions are maddening.

Still... this was one of the better episodes of the show to date. Probably because it went back to the SG staple of heavy sci-fi, which is what the series has always been good at.

listen to the song lyrics playing over it.

"I'm so ronrey"

I think it was just meant to be a random illustration that the stress and loneliness of the situation is getting to everyone.

Fantastic way to come back, wasn't expecting them to wrap up the Rush thing so quickly but not complaining as I wasn't looking forward to having episodes without him. Things should certainly more alot more interesting from now on, I hope.

She suffers sidecharacterities. Probably overheard Chloe having sex or something.

Oh and random avatar if someone wants!

I was hoping they wouldn't get Rush back so quickly, and the lasers seemed pretty weak, but a decent episode overall.

That's what I was thinking but the way she was crying seemed a bit over the top for just being lonely. Besides she has two friends with her all the time. She should name them.

I liked the Aliens, the ship design and the whole feel of the episode but am I the only one who thought the space battle CGI was pretty bad? It looked worse than SG-1 or Atlantis.

Enjoyable episode.

I have to agree with an earlier comment though. If Chloe isn't dead by the end of the season, it's going to be laughable. Hostile aliens attacking the ship? Hull is being broken into? I wonder what that could be? Let's go look!

It's like that ID4 stripper level of stupidity, though at least she had the excuse of not knowing for sure if they were hostile yet.

Budget obviously went into Rush punching and choking CG aliens. I say it was worth it!

I sort of felt disappointed. Somehow I managed to hype myself up that it would be less like the first 10 episodes.

Like the other episodes, it felt like not much was actually achieved. Other than aliens being introduced. All the character stuff seemed to remain the same, even though it took up a large portion of the episode.

Why the heck would the stones connect with aliens?

It funny to see those puppies (you know what I'm talking about) get so much screen time in the first ep of the second half of the season.
Viewer feedback at its best :D

Easily the best episode of the series, IMO. Was planning on dropping it, but I'll stick around a little longer.

maybe the stone cross-connected with their communication/mindreading device?
Possibly not before because they recently tweaked it to work with humans (Rush) and/or because they were "close" to Destiny.

Yeah. The whole alien business seems like it would've been an ideal point for the crew to solidify (at least for a time). I'd have thought that Rush would've preferred to lick his wounds too since his only agenda is fondling Destiny's innards.

I definitely think that the show does best when it's not trying to emulate another show or attempting drama.

It's a shame that it's been confined to two episodes so far.

Presumably it'll be properly explained at some point. Although you could probably assume it has something to do with the telepathic devices they had that Rush used to communicate with Young.

I wouldn't assume that at all, Young has clearly completely snapped at this point. Not only did he leave Rush for dead (which was somewhat deserved but even so) but once he discovered he was alive he tried to kill him, and Chloe, just so people wouldn't find out.

Are we to assume the aliens evolved on oxygen-nitrogen atmosphere and Rush and Chloe can breathe and survive on the alien ship and alien escape pod? Normally when they go to a planet they send in the kinod and test the atmosphere.

Also did Rush swap the mind control probes and probe Young? Now Rush should know some of Youngs secrets.

For me it looked like that alien species evolved in water and its taking the dissolved oxygen out of the water, like the fish on earth do, that would explain why there suits are connected with the strings that comming out from there chcicks. Here is a link were you can clearly see its connected http://i895.photobucket.com/albums/ac160/farscape82/bscap0006.jpg
Its probably some enviramental suite where there is a steady flow of water, and it gets O2 out of the air and filters the CO2 out.

Uh, no. No such case has been made. If anything, it's Rush that has clearly snapped and it's Rush that poses the greatest threat to everyone's continued survival. He's obsessed with the ship, and that's all he cares about. He's made that plain when he tried to remove Young by framing him for murder simply because Young wouldn't let people lobotomize themselves in that chair.

Why nobody else on the crew seems to notice or remember this is another point of rage for me. They have no reason to trust Rush, but they magically do now? MORONS.

Not only did he leave Rush for dead (which was somewhat deserved but even so) but once he discovered he was alive he tried to kill him, and Chloe, just so people wouldn't find out.

Given that Rush
leads a rebellion
next episode, Young was kinda justified. On top of that, it seems to me that Eli's screwed if Young gets taken out of the picture. He's the best Rush replacement they have, and he's been running Young's spy network and has come down solidly on Young's side every time it mattered.

Anyone remember the episode were Col. O'Neil met the greys (aka as the Asgard)? That scene was probably the best moment in the franchise. Jack's reaction to when they told him they've been studying humanity was priceless. UFO enthusiasts had an orgasm

I still don't understand why he had Eli hide the proof that Rush framed him for murder. It would guarantee popular opinion was on his side. No stupid civilian trying to stir up unrest.

he could even have gone on to strand Rush the same way. just say "I confronted Rush about the frame-up. He attacked me. I knocked him out. I couldn't carry him back to the stargate in time". Justifiable.

This crew is made of Tea Partiers. They'd just claim the evidence was faked and go on with their aimless plans regardless.

I wonder if they're eventually going to find some way to make physical repairs to the ship. Sooner or later the ship is going to be Swiss cheese. Also it seems to have a relatively thin hull.

Uh, I think its more about being alone with only a few others billions of light years away from earth with no hope of ever returning. And any semblance of normal human interactions (boyfriend in her case) is destroyed because of this very situation. If you don't shed a tear in that situation you're made of stone.

What is crying by yourself going to accomplish? Nothing. Not having normal human interactions when you're surrounded by people... now that's something to cry about (*sheds a tear for himself*).
