I agree mostly with Mack on Worthabuy, and i can only go by my own purchases and the games i play, and i haven't bought hardly any games in the last 5 or 6 years and play my older and modded games, so yeah i do. modern games are not good enough on the whole, i did stop buying them.

This is strictly a AAA industry issue. Gaming is the biggest entertainment industry on earth precisely because it expanded way beyond the hardcore crowd. We GAF and the purple site and reddit represent a tiny fraction of that global market. An AAA release will succeed or fail regardless of whether we buys it or not. The real irony of videos like this is that they only ever reach that exact same enthusiast group.

Honestly, the thing that strikes me the most is the polarization in response that's reaching absolutely schizophrenic levels.
Some games get shredded for the most minor issues, while others get glazed to the moon even when their issues/limitations are undeniable.
The politicization of gaming is doing untold damage, as is the relentless grievance faming of the new media.
Drama might line their pockets in the short-term, but eventually the chickens will come home to roost. People will tire of the relentless negativity and frankly deliberate ignorance in many cases on the part of these commentators.
I mean, when we have people cheer-leading product failures and studio closures, what do they really think this is going to result in the long term ? If the market shrinks prices will rise, release schedules will thin, and choices will reduce.

Current state of games is, you need a patch before you can play it, there used to be a time you go what you paid for....now it seems barebones are added at full price, then you wait years for things to flesh out....case in point: "E-Football" by Konami
