Steam Deck sells out after price increase. Lol

I think there's a disconnect somewhere. They were totally out before this happened, then I think they restocked? Or one of them did at least that I saw. ATM 512 is out and 949 is still available from what I can see.

I just hate knowing people are willingly paying these prices, it doesn't help the situation at all. I guess maybe they're buying in fear that it'll raise more and more.

My Ally Z1E is laughing incessantly in the corner. I paid $600 for it two years ago. Crazy to think the Steam Deck costs more, but gives you worse hardware lol.

I have been waiting on a restock since their christmas time inventory. Just hasnt been in stock. I kinda gave up and bought something else cause I got tired of waiting and this proves my gamble right

Whats is the eco system prison on Steam Deck??? 🤔
He's probably refering to how having a Steamdeck tends to make you want to buy games only on the Steam platform, as they work without issue most times, while if you buy games from like Epic or the Uplay store, you have to jump through hoops to make them work.

And honestly its true, while I do 90% of my gaming on my main rig, I still buy all my games via steam (or GMG buying steam keys) even if Epic or another place has the game cheaper, as its just less headache

The bold don't negate the options for other "eco-systems". 🤷‍♂️

If people have been waiting for a restock, and the restock was small, it would make sense it would sell out. Then again, seeing the way the Steam Controller launch has gone, Steams ordering system for hardware seems to be wonky.

Plug and Play, on Linux, through a bunch of Protons, sure.
