Only played this for a little bit, and I'm already loving it. If you're tired of the same old crafting/building/survival games, this might be the game that gets you interested again. The alien ocean is a vastly more engaging and interesting setting than a forest or island or wasteland.

Subnautica - $17.99 (10% off)
BoneSharks-618x348.jpg

http://store.steampowered.com/app/264710

Explore an alien ocean from the surface to the dark caves along the sea floor. Build submersibles, create air pipes from the surface, craft futuristic equipment, and face a weird aquatic ecosysem

Heads up, Sequence was renamed to Before the Echo a while ago due to some silly legal troubles. It's still listed as the former in your A-Z list.
You can post anything you want about the game if you like it, but could I still please get a condensed 3-4 sentence recommendation text version? Your text is a TAD long :p

I got a little excited, I guess... Sorry. Let me try again:

Hammerfight - $2.99 (40% off)

http://store.steampowered.com/app/41100/
Hammerfight is a gladiatorial helicopter game set in a wild sci-fantasy world. It's a got a huge amount of content packed in, all unlocked through playing the (surprisingly) deep campaign. The mouse-driven physics-based gameplay requires both skill and precision and is a whole lot of fun, provided you find a comfortable mouse sensitivity setting. It's really something you need to play to believe.

Thanks so much for the effort you put into compiling and presenting this info, Toma!

This is some of the absolute best offerings on Steam and one of Gaf's most valuable reference threads.

Guns of Icarus Online - $3.74 (-75% off), or 7.49 for four copies ($1.88 each)

Hop aboard a steampunk airship with three friends and blow other airships out of the sky. There are three classes to choose from - Pilot, Engineer, Gunner - and teamwork and cooperation are paramount to success. Relatively easy to learn, but has an enormous skill ceiling.

Great fun with friends, and the community is extremely friendly and helpful. I have 200 hours in this game - I know several who have over 2000.

dungeons 2 gold bundle link not working for me... and i can't find it in the store either (i can find dungeon 2, just not the bundle)

PS -- awesome thread, found some gems.

convoy should be added, though i suppose it's too new to be deep sale

Corrected. (Maybe the bundle is a region specific thing though)

Added the first 45 (or so) new recommendation entries here:

Plenty of interesting games in there to check out!
Off to bed for now.

Lots of good deals on Wadjet Eye games. Can't recommend the Blackwell series enough for anyone looking for some good point and clicks.

Give this one a look, guys:

Lumino City - $9.99/€9.99 (50% off)
Really want this, but I'm holding out for some other stuff plus I believe it's coming to iPad eventually and it seems like a game that would be an even better experience with tactile touch controls

If you enjoy puzzle games, definitely check this one out. It's incredibly well designed.

Snakebird - $4.89 (30% off)
ss_8d1832558f634abcbc8f1fd846b4375a0314ba9c.jpg

Imagine the classic arcade game Snake, but reimagined as an adorable puzzle game with significant amounts of bird. Coil around your own body, eat fruit to grow longer, and make it to the exit. Has 53 levels, each of which is extremely well designed. The game doesn't introduce many mechanics, but you'll need to master each and every one if you want to succeed. Levels can be tackled in non-linear order, both to keep you from getting stuck, and to let you get sneak peaks at the brutal, mind-bending late-game levels. Beware, Snakebird becomes very challenging very quickly.

Thanks for putting this thread together Toma! Quite a few things here I'm going to need to pick up.

Adding:

140 - $1.99 (60% off)
ss_b8247a893d2db67fd1bae53aad5e69958dc8578f.600x338.jpg

http://store.steampowered.com/app/242820/

140 is a challenging minimalistic platformer with abstract colorful graphics. Rhythmic awareness is required to overcome obstacles controlled by an energetic, yet melancholic electronic soundtrack.

It's one of the rhythm genres smallest juggernauts and a master class in minimalism. It merges infectious music with ever-changing color schemes, to form one of my favorite platformers period. If you haven't already, definitely throw $2 its way. It's a must for fans of platformers, the rhythm genre, or just music buffs in general.

Highly Recommend:
Fly'N
Fract OSC
Tiny and Big: Grandpa's Leftovers
Velocity Ultra
The Floor is Jelly
Snapshot (not on sale)

Plan on picking up:
TRI: Of Friendship and Madness
The Last Penelope
ULTRAWORLD
Grow Home
REVOLVER360 RE:ACTOR (This is the first I've seen of it)

Great thread as always Toma. I'll through some recommendations your way tonight.

Also, people better buy Transistor when it's a daily. Hell, it's worth the full price.

Awesome job on the thread, Toma!

Does anyone have any experience with Miasmata? It sounds interesting - specifically the addition of the lurking monster - but I am also a little burnt out on open world survival games.

finally picked up Papers, Please thanks to the daily and some cash I had in my Steam wallet from selling cards. Looking forward to playing it.

Great thread. Thank you, Toma. I've added four or five of these to my wish list. On the road at the moment but will be getting home this afternoon and checking these out on my laptop.

Goddamn dude thanks for the enormous amount of work that went into this.

Been meaning to get Ethan Carter and Subnautica looks amazing. Looked at a while ago but never got around to playing it. How "Early Access" is Subnautica right now? Barebones or worth getting?

Edit :https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dp1ILFqtG9g -< the Worth A Buy review for Subnautica is so funny I almost tipped my chair over, my god

Any co-operative game recommendations?

Either of the Magicka games are great co-op fun. If you're looking for something more long-term, Divinity:OS is amazing as a co-op experience, though maybe beyond the scope of many of the games here.

Having just played the demo of audiosurf 2 it is hard to recommend the original. Sequel appears to be everything I hoped for. Streaming from Soundcloud, mods etc

Insanely awesome thread, thanks guys!

I'm pretty sure I will get one, two or a couple of more indie games after reading through all of it!

Keep it up!

Cat Lady - 2,69€ (-70%)

ss_8158cad61aee5ff18e5703b88d6bfa9a101ba431.1920x1080.jpg

A grim "point & click" (well, not really, since you use keyboard to move around) adventure game about a lonely lady with depression. The game starts with her committing suicide... and then the story goes even darker and a more gory.

I really recommend this to point & click adventure game fans. Good puzzles, intriguing story, unique main character and great atmosphere. The art style might be a little offputing at the beginning, but trust me, it really fits the game.
