Stellar Blade’s Sequel Won't Be Announced Until The Game Has Reached "Satisfactory Quality"
Shift Up's CEO does admit "The time has come when you can have a little bit of expectation."
Speaking to 4Gamer in Japan (and translated by TheGamer), Kim revealed that with video game development, it is "done slowly and carefully, there are always times when it looks like nothing is happening from the outside." This led him to discussions about the studio's unnamed next title.
"Our team is currently working very passionately on the production, and we would like to present it once it has reached a satisfactory quality. Rather than sharing it prematurely, we believe it is best to inform everyone once everything is fully prepared," Kim said.
When 4Gamer later pushed Kim into suggesting the game must be closer to the "good shape" he mentioned, the CEO had some words of encouragement.
"If I say that, it will be a big spoiler, so how about something like, 'The time has come when you can have a little bit of expectation'?" he said. With Summer Game Fest just around the corner, it could be then, however, that may come a little too soon, at which point Gamescom or The Game Awards become the most likely reveal destinations.
