That's just...I don't even know what to think. Croc fighter gets killed by a punk sting ray. It's a sad way to go. :-/

I just don't see what the surprise is, that's what funny. People's reaction is funny, not necessarily his death.

"I can't believe he's dead!"
"???!!!"
"I never dreamed he'd die!"

You have got to be shitting me people. Look at his show. You can obviously tell the dude was going to die making a show. It was so PAINFULLY OBVIOUS and yet people are surprised. How can anyone be surprised by this news?

That's what's hilarious.

my exact thoughts. He probably thought while he wrestled those crocodiles "holy shit! i hope i don't die this time"

He seemed like a real affable guy and I liked his TV personality, but I couldn't help but be disturbed when I saw him dangling one of his children in front of an animal on TV. The first thing I checked in the news story was to see if the nut took any of his kids with him to his grave. Thankfully, he did not.

People are suprised when people die no matter what the situation is because it's final. I know that's shocking for a cool completely in check guy like you but the rest of us are mere mortals with emotions I guess.

I don't know the dude. I only saw him on TV so of course I'm not upset as if it was my mother dying. But this "Joe Cool" I could give two shits attitude about anything outside of my own inner circle attitude you got ain't as cool to me as it is to you. If the dude didn't mean anything to you why post in the thread?

It's not like he was Russell Crowe 'fightin round the world', he wrestled crocs to move them out of populated areas or if they were injured and needed vet treatment.

He would dangle a kid near a sting ray and you know it.

People feeling sympathy and acting all surprised that a guy who pulled shit like this dies from an animal attack.

Come the **** on.
We all knew he had it coming and we all thought he was crazy, but I think the timing is what took people by surprise. This came out of left field...especially since it's been a while since he's been in the news.

Himuro said:
I was hoping his death would be something like "Steve Irwin is sexually abused and then murdered by a lion!"

or some shit.

This seems tame in comparison. You'd thing he die from something bigger than that. I expected epic proportions in regards to his death.
He's too smart to have ever died like that, this seems much of a freak accident.

All those dinosaurs must already be sick of him and I kind of feel sorry for them because they cant do him any harm while he trys to pet and tame them for riding. R.I.P, he left us a alot to remember him by. I wish he would have taken more care though so we could have some more years of "crikey".

dinosaurs? Did I miss something?

I think that the line between being a soldier/firefighter/cop and a "crocodile hunter" is pretty defined if you ask me. There is a purpose to putting your life on the line if you are a cop, soldier or firefighter. Saving a human life? Serving a country? How does tampering with dangerous animals for television specials fit in with that?

I don't know. I mean he did a lot to raise awareness about nature. Especially through his show. My family could give to shits about rattlesnakes, alligators or dugongs before the crocodile hunter. To me that counts for something.

He wasn't dangling his kid infront of the croc, he was holding his kid while doing his act. The child was as safe as possible, held away from the croc. The situation was blown out of proportion

Wow, that sucks. He and his family did a lot for preservation/conservation of wildlife.

He's probably visiting his families' turtle that died recently right now. :(

Otherwise known as Dangling your kid in front of a Croc.

We will all bow down to you, the all-knowing, all-seeing Himuro!

That alone makes it dumb.

I saw the video whne he did it, he was making his kid do a little fake walk and the Croc lurched out for him... but I can't find the image on google or the video on youtube. The only pictures I've found show him holding the baby to his side....

Yoboman said:
Maybe but he knows what he's doing and the kid was plenty safe. He was raising his kid to do what he'd done himself

I am a good shot, I could shoot near someone by 5 or 10 feet or something and have almost no chance of harming them. I don't!

No, jackass...I never thought he'd die from a ****ing stingray. But, you knew...because it was OBVIOUS.

I wish I was on GAF when owen hart died, so I could troll his thread saying shit like "HE WAS FLYING FROM THE RAFTERS! COME THE **** ON! How could anyone not expect someone with his dedication to die on the ringpost? LOLOL"

of course, once it hits something personal to GAF like wrestling, everyone gets up tight. but if it's someone elses fruity television shows, it's perfectly okay when the host dies trying to entertain.

Himuro said:
No, it was obvious he would die from an animal attack. You're reading too much into this.

Yep. He decided not to spend his life watching anime, playing rpg's, and posting on message boards so I guess his risk of injury from death increased right there.

I think people are suprised because Steve seemed larger then life invincible to a lot of us. I'm still processing the idea that Steve Irwin has died. It's not that I don't acknowledge how dangerous his work was/could be, but STEVE IRWIN is dead, not just some random Aussie, he seemed invinsible.

i dont think any wrestling thread regs are mocking him?

sucks for his family R.I.P.

What's crazy is that he was filming a documentary at the time, so the death was undoubtedly filmed...

Himuro said:
Owen Hart's death was a freak accident, and totally unexpected.

Steve Irwin's death was completely inevitable simply by watching his show and the actions he does while pestering these animals.

Grasping straws.
no way. a guy who straps himself to rafters to fly around and a guy who plays around with crocodiles are on the same page to me.

i dont think any wrestling thread regs are mocking him?
Oh I know, and I was pissed when owen hart died, too.

if you're gonna show respect for the dead, show it. if not, leave. no need to troll and piss people off who actually do feel some sympathy over this shit.

In memory of Steve, I'm going to add "mate" to as many posts as possible for the next month.

Come on, mate's. Join up with the cause.

Edit: And Garrett, you're cruisin' for a bruisin, Buster Brown.

they wont' ban anyone here... they gave up on the whole "No trolling death threads" rule a long time ago.

i'm not even saying himu needs to be banned. i'm just saying, take it the **** outta the thread where people are trying to respect the dudes life.

There were simular people doing the same things when Eddie Guererro died, AND when Proof was shot.

"WAS THIS NOT EXPECTED. HE WAZ A THUG! HE DESERVED IT LOLZ"

Shut the **** up People. I Think its one of the few instances on this forum(threads about people who have recently died) where if you really dont have anything nice to say, dont say it at all

Himuro said:
I'm not trolling anything. I'm just honestly giving my opinion on the matter. Having a different opinion always = trolling!

In order to have a discussion, you much all agree on the same subject!

What's the discussion? A guy ****ing died. When you die how about we all sit around and talk about whether you deserved it or not.

Himuro said:
See? These overreactions are hilarious.
What are you trying to prove? I see your point of view on the subject, and I'm not contesting it, but I gotta ask, what do you think you're doing? You think just coming here and repeatedly telling people not to care simply because they were supposed to expect it to happen is something worth doing? This is definitely a situation where you gotta hold your tongue, man.

It's sad to hear that he passed away actually, I have to say it's not entirely unexpected that he died filming one of his nature shows, I honestly figured I'd read about him dying long before that becuase of a crocodile related mishap involving his neck and some croc jaws.

To hear that he basically died of a freak accident, I mean a stingray could have stabbed him anywhere but managed to get him right through his heart ?

RIP mate.

We aren't in high school anymore, Himu. You can stop trying to act tough to impress people. All it does is make you sound like an asshole trying to sound big and bad to everyone. Whatever happened a few months ago really changed your personality to one that is very grating and slowly turning into one that isn't worth interacting with at all.

So you know he was going to die working. That's great. I sure didn't think about it, myself. Take the time out of trying to be as cool as your avatar and think about it. Someone died in a pretty horrible way. It's a common human emotion to feel shock or amazement. Don't talk shit to those that do because you think you are a bad mother****er on a goddamn message board. No one gives a shit. Drop the "I'm a hot shit badass" stuff and think about what's going on. You truly disappoint me with your attitude.

It's not ok for anybody to make fun of anybody's death, reguardless of whether you respect the person for what they do or not.
All it does is show what kind of a person you(not you but people inparticular =p) are.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go on an overnight drunk, and in 10 days I'm going to set out to find the shark that ate my friend and destroy it.

When Proof died, as it turned out, the guy could have completely went another route and not have gotten anyone killed.

Proof's death was another example of "when keeping it real goes wrong".
:lol :lol :lol

Himu, just back off, mate. The point is, he was an all around good guy and everyone in here knows what he did. You're just being master of the obvious ffs.

There were conflicting stories about what really happened. But thats besides the point. What im saying is that this happens EVERY death thread. Jackasses come in and post dumb shit like that. Its stupid. Unless its someone known for doing bad shit all their life. Is a criminal, murderer, rapist, Hitler, Ect..., These opinions are NOT needed at the time

Quit acting like Mr. Tough Shit

Himuro said:
No disrespect, but I don't see why everyone has to go all boo hoo hoo for the guy. It sucks he died, but I don't see why people have to get offended because some others think it was going to happen eventually.
No disrespect, but I don't see why it should matter to you what people do when someone dies.

And nobody has a problem with you thinking it was going to happen... everyones got a problem with you trolling the thread (which is what you're doing at this point, and it should be said that if this was a nintendo thread you'd be banned for a month for repeating the same shit over and over). You've said your piece man. There's no reason for you to be here, other than to piss people off which is clearly what you're trying to do.
