I hope he remains healthy or survives his health issues if he is not.

I've never owned an Apple product so I wouldn't know. Why is everyone going crazy that he resigned? Can't Apple just continue without him?

Yeah it is. Steve Jobs IS Apple pretty much. Apple's stock prices are almost tied directly to the man. This out trumps the Google and HP news by miles.Guardian Bob said:Eh, not one of the biggest. He can always return. This isn't as big as the Google or HP news from last week.

He is about as impactful as one person can be on that large of a corporation. it will still be a solid company for many many years but without him I fear stagnation will ensue. I also believe that this is ultimately bad for the consumer and stockholders.Murkas said:Honest question, How important was Steve Jobs role in Apple?

He was very important, not only as a front man, but he's lead the direction of many of their products, they're made to his specific tastes. He certainly didn't do anything on his own, but he was the driving force behind their products.Murkas said:Honest question, How important was Steve Jobs role in Apple?
