stop showing titty on twitch (Twitch cracking down on topless/'sexy' streamers')

WTF

What's the category for speedrunning those?

Edit: Someone better tell Arturo Sanchez his business is going down!

I never understood this personally. If you're so hard up that you seek out twitch streams with hot girls playing. Why not just watch porn and a normal twitch stream at the same time?
If you're really in the mood for a western sci-fi comedy, why not just watch The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly on your TV while reading a joke book in a Chewbacca suit.

What kind of logic is this? You sound like you are entitled to stream with your rules. Internet people in 2014 in a nutshell. Just annoying.

I like how you edited out the part about how I understand it's their service and I think this is reaching further to solve a problem than is actually necessary, but I imagine you yourself could not overreact and look like an idiot if you kept it in.

I was checking out CS:GO streams last night and the biggest stream was this girl who wasn't even playing the game, she was having a Q&A session

Why do you think those site are for +18 and are tagged porn/eroctic sites that provide those services ?
Twich is a gaming site not a site where people sell themselve as a sexual attraction object who offer special services.
I'm pretty sure you can be sexy and not actually "sell" yourself. Also if they aren't actually advertising for sexual acts or favors, why is it a problem?

We use attractiveness and sexiness to make plenty of things more engaging and entertaining, not just for sex.

Topless and nude streamers should be gotten rid of, yes. Sexy, skimpy, sexualized streamers not so much unless they are going down a path that encourages sexual acts outside of the service.

It's Twitch's bar to set what the feel is proper or not, but I think they went a little overboard here.

I don't like or watch those streamers that purposefully dress themselves down for viewers, but I have no issue with them. If they're playing video games, engaging with the chat, and everyone is having a good time, what's the problem? If advertising in an issue, give them an 18+ (or even 21+) filter and don't partner them.

It's whatever though. I just hope this ultimately generates other avenues of streaming games, not just Twitch.

How long were you watching her stream though? It's very common for streamers to do Q&A session between gameplay sessions or before the end of their stream. Some popular streamers even dedicate a day to it.

1. DizzyKitten bout to be the top female streamer
2. RIP KaceyTron/KneeColeSlaw/Tarik
3. This won't even get enforced to ignore point 2

She does them when she ends the stream (which she does for like 5-6 hours each day). She also doesn't have a breast cam and aside from her being terrible at CS, she's a pretty decent streamer. I'll watch her if none of my CS follows are streaming

Taboo makes things much more exciting. I also imagine that many of the male viewers enjoy both watching the "hot girl," but also watching the "hot girl play the game they like." And as the viewership consistently comes back to watch more streams, they become attached to the stream and the person streaming it. A visit to any of these streams and you'll see a community interacting with each other, in Twitch's own way.

Plus, Twitch is far more interactive and user friendly than the ad ridden cam sites.

is this ok?

Just based on what I can see in the image -- She's playing league -- I personally have no problem with it. Whether that falls within Twitch's new guidelines I have no idea, but as a values assessment I don't think we should tell women how they are allowed to dress or shame them for dressing "too sexy". If you don't want to look at it you can go somewhere else.

I think the possible problem area is when the lines become blurred as to whether the stream is about games or not. As I've learned by reading this thread, I think it's a tone thing. Does it feel like a sex stream or a game stream?

Good move on their part. Makes them way more marketable and not really that much of a hassle for streamers to just wear clothes.

That's fair enough, I mostly use twitch for pro games and pro streams so I don't know. It's still pretty obvious to me why they have so many more viewers than actual pros and the cute little ways of displaying donations (biggest d, etc) just seem to me like exploiting lonely people as much as any cam personality

I'm really going to miss Trihexs shirtless cam. This can only be made to target him, as boob cam doesn't seem to fit the restrictions.

Good it'll stop those kinds of streams.

It'll stop girls intentionally setting their camera to to stare right down their well endowed tits and act all shocked that people like what they see and same goes for the shirtless guys trying to show off their muscles and just so happen to flex a lot for the camera. A lot of those streams tend to be less about the game and more about the tease anyway.

Twitch is for games streaming, if you want to show off then there are plenty of sites about there for you to do it on.

So what if a big breasted girl always wearing scoop neck shirts? Does she have to change before she plays vid games?

I wish they would crack down on the sub/donating notifications as well. Has ruined many a good stream for me and virtually everyone does it now.

WHAT.

Ok my world just crumbled

LOL. There's a NSFW gif out there that is literally the embodiment of this feeling. Wish this was a NSFW forum just so I could link it and read your reactions.

So I pretty much agree with ShockingAlberto and DarthWufei. People should be allowed to stream what they want, but it's also within Twitch's rights to curate the content they allow. I just think that the guidelines go a tad too far, at least in terms of sexually suggestive clothing.

But as an aside, I was wondering what people think of eliciting donations on stream to perform certain actions. For example, there was one time where KneeColeSlaw asked for donations in return for her doing jumping jacks on stream. Do you guys think that this should be something banworthy? I have no idea if this is a common thing for her, or if it was a one time occurrence the one time I decided to check her stream. Where do the lines get drawn on things like this? What if a streamer took it one step further and elicited donations for the removal of articles of clothing (but no nudity)?
