Seems Vienna doesn't have it quite as bad, it'll have around 32°C on Friday, I'm okay with that. Heat doesn't affect me as much as it used to, luckily.

We're old Europe, let's talk about the definition of a mobile ac unit first and then - after four years of rigurous discussion - decide if we buy one or not.
Even if they were sold here (maybe they are, I don't know), I don't have a good space for it.

No. Perhaps the south of Germany. But i sure as hell can handle 35 degrees in (South) East Europe much better than the same temperature here in NL.Tschechische Republik is right next door so we have pretty much identical weather

Great. Heatwave in London on my days off so I can't enjoy my window-less, AC haven that is my office. I guess I'll build a tent in my fridge so I can look out of the window and watch my grass and plants brown, wither and die.

All of the windows I have seen in Germany make it so that you can't even get a window mounted AC. They open like this.

Yeah window mounted AC just don't exist in Northern Europe, AC is either integrated in the building (usually for offices, sometimes modern flats), or you can buy mobile units like the one below, which has flexible exhaust pipe that has to reach outside one way or another.

It'll only be around 26 degrees on Saturday where I live, hurray for living close to the ocean. Wednesday will be 30+, but then I'll be at work anyway.

it used to be fun when I wasn't working, the whole summervacation and everything.
But now it's stinking sweaty people, sleepless nights, insects everywhere, migraine's and the inescapability of it all
Nearly everything is shit when you get older :/
