Imagine the majority of access media indirectly implying that you are a bad person for having the takes you have. Imagine most social media banning you for having 'the wrong opinion'. Then imagine a person saying what you believe, and what you would have liked to say if you weren't being banned left and right. And saying it publicly without giving a fuck.

People resonate with Azmongold not because he lives with roaches, but because they actually see him having the balls to speak his piece without catering or apologizing to the woke mob when they want his head on a silver platter and scream that they are offended. They see him as their voice. And the fact that numerous developers are terrified of him calling their game 'woke' in one of his streams and immediately making a large portion of their customer base not buying their product also gives him power. Power which he has repeatedly claimed he will abuse in order to make sure woke games will be a thing of the past.

But in reality he's a successful WoW streamer who shifted into controversial commentary

Your whole portrayal is more fan mythology than fact. Like he's some silenced truth-teller bravely voicing the masses against a tyrannical "woke mob."

I think he is very flexible in his views and only does the right wing grift because it is popular now. I don't remember the exact details but a few years ago he got cancelled by "the left" and later apologized like a little bitch, even though there was no reason to.

Now I haven't watched Asmon in his early days (WoW), so maybe I am wrong and he is consistent.

That's the thing many fail to observe. Asmongold is rather unapologetic about his opinions and doesn't resort to following the winds of public opinion. That's what draws a lot of people to his content and why he has quite a bit of what I call "normie" reach.

Hes no different than any other media person. He distorts what people say to support his agenda. And hes a weirdo tbh. He talks about his teeth bleeding so he just wipes all the blood on his wall while he sleeps and just strange shit. Then shows the wall and its covered on blood stains, gross. Like, most videos I've seen from this guy have been he himself reacting to other people talking about these things and how disgusting he is, or reacting to memes/content people have made about him. This must be a goldmine for him.
