Amazing

It's the much awaited sequel to this :

Amazing quality control, amazing product(s) , how is this shit even allowed on the PSN store is beyond me - didn't Sony say a few month's back that they'd start regulating better all the content (i.e: "games") on their store ?

Damn i was hopng for some meltdown thread.

No meltdowns brother, just some pure GOTY gameplay here.

On a serious note : How are these kind of "games" even allowed ? How and why does a company like Sony approve them ? What would the approval process be ?
Just like the guy in the last video says, it's got achievements/trophies so that would technically qualify it as a game, and yet, i thought we were done with such low-effort shovel ware ffs, i mean, even life of black tiger looks better than this literal joke of a "game".

I'm really curious now

I guess much like McD still selling junk food to fat people, while trying to appear nice offering salads or whatever.
Game stores might try to hide it with some personalized suggestion in the shop for "real" gamers, or whatever, but what reason would any platform have to not sell junk to those gamers with too much money and no desire for actual accomplishements?

Noi italiani dobbiamo sempre farci riconoscere con sti topic del caxxo.

Taking the topic's title at face value (which, unironically, is literally the "game's" name) it'd appear as the usual "provocative" GAF thread in the vein of all-time hits in here like "dastardly anal smell", "Do you prefer to burb or to fart", that Spider-man guy masturbating to porn with his sister next to him etc etc but i digress, this is - literally - about the fact of how "games" like these are even allowed to be published on a renowned platform in the 1st place - this isn't a PC-centric store where the PC is...more of an open-ended platform compared to consoles (i.e: you could download something like this from an external/not official site) so i could excuse and even understand titles like these getting a pass or even slipping through the proverbial cracks, game consoles and their respective stores on the other hand are way more heavily moderated so that's exactly why i find this not only stupid but...inexcusable on Sony's part (or MS's if it was available there).

Do you remember life of black tiger a few years ago ? that absolutely horrible piece of software had people talking about it for weeks on end (with many videos on YT also) about how shitty it was with people raising the question on whether such low-effort, low-quality games should be allowed to be published in the 1st place.

Enter "games" which go for 4€ a pop like stroke my rabbit, stroke my Dik-Dik (which is OBVIOUSLY a pun/double entendre) and...things get even worse.
In some EU countries, EA got shit/were taken to court for their money-grabbing, OCD-inducing, predatory scams like the FIFA lootboxes since they were deemed as "gambling", meaning, people easily addicted to these kind of practices would be at risk of getting - you guessed it - addicted.
Now, does EA force you to buy said lootboxes ? Obviously not, and yet, shit was deemed as "dangerous" and predatory.
Back to the stroke my rabbit/Dog/Dik-Dik "games" : These are obviously made for all the poor souls that are addicted to achievements/trophies 'cause, let's not kid ourselves, these "games' " solely exist due this very specific fact - this type of user is their main and only demographic/target-group, so, i have to ask, isn't this shit also predatory ? Aren't these "games" made to appeal solely to people with said "urges" and OCD behavior ? Isn't it (almost) unethical ? I mean, shit bro, these "games" consist of a static image with no animations whatsoever, a silly, 3-sec music bite looping in the background with you hammering the X (or touchpad, i don't know) as to...unlock trophies for fucks sake...
Isn't this considered as preying on the "weak" and/or also as gamble ? Just like gambling itself, you're spending money to satisfy a very specific need/curiosity (unlocking achievements in this case).

Again, how is this gutter-shite even allowed on these platforms? Why isn't the content on these stores better regulated ? What are the actual standards required by Sony/MS/Ninty for a dev to have its game published on their respective stores ?

What gaming is an "actual accomplishment"?

Parla come mangi, dude.

Someone's grumpy today, no need for it dude.

Also : this goes to show that it's impossible to hold a Convo in here, I explained it succinctly in the 1st post, it wasn't enough obviously , I explained my thoughts thoroughly in the 2nd post, got met with a passive aggressive reply, a guy just can't win in here...

I do understand that that's the nature of the internet and that it's easy to be rude and/or passive-aggressive towards others but having a bad day at the office isn't an excuse.

Have a jolly good day dude

I don't care for people buying crap to pad their trophies, it's their money. However, many people not familiar with games just buy them because they are cheap.

For example, I have a dear friend what has two children (under 10). They only have a Switch. They obviously get stuff like Mario (in all their presentations) and Zelda but the other day she got some 5 nights at Freddy's game because it was 50% off without knowing what it was. Once she got it she regreted it because she is unsure about the genre. I think many people could get shit like Stroke Dik Dik and be disappointed and it's just annoying to think someone is making some amount of money out of consumer's ignorance.

And I don't think it's entirely the consumer's responsibility. I mean, it is natural to think the store would do some minimum amount of quality control.

Very disappointing.

Very well put friend.

Now, regarding the games for padding out someone's trophies/ achievements, I'm contrary to them, not because I care of what someone does with his spare time but because 9/10 times, those games are of very, very dubious quality - just like the stroke my dik/dog ones etc and companies should know better, I mean, just the name of the game is an uber-juvenile double entendre ffs and as for the "gameplay"...yeah.
To put it another way, trash shouldn't be available on these platforms.
There's a difference between a game giving you achievements/trophies for - say - doing menial tasks like completing a chapter and a game called "Stroke the dik-dik" giving you trophies for mashing the X button.

Cheers

Yes, you are right.

Also if Sony was more careful we could have avoided all the controversy surrounding Hasan and his vaporware.
