Yeah it was slow and I didn't had a clue what was going on most of the time, but I liked the style and direction. I hope the story segment will click with me in the following few episodes, if not then atleast it looks pretty.

Texhnolyze director and "slow as molasses"? (usually an insult that comes from people with no appreciation for art movies). This sounds like a must download!

Yeah it was slow but had a good scene i thought where dude
stabs himself in the foot randomly. wtf kind of stlye is that anyway?
:lol

Anyone see the HanaKimi live action yet? Wondering if it's any good. Probably going to check out Lovely Complex since I've caught up on Nodame. :)

Why is there a lack of love for Skull man? That show is great and gets better every episode. It's my favorite running anime besides Gurren Lagann

I like it but it starts out slow and the really interesting bits (for me) began around ep 09. I'm kinda worried that the ending will be rushed cuz it's a 13 ep long series.

Tekkon Kinkreet will hit DVD and Blu-ray on September 25 ($26.96/$38.95). I think it's about time I got that PS3. :lol

Bahaha....just snagged a copy of Kiki's Delivery Service for 6.39 at Moviestop. They have such weird prices for obscure animated films...if only Totoro and Porco Rosso were the same price (14.99 used =/ )

I'm planning to start watching School days, a friend played the game and is all over the anime, she's usually not very enthusiastic about anything but since she's showing interest it might be good. Is anyone else watching it? Which fansub group would be best to watch?

Is anybody watching Potemayo? >.>

Edit: Just watched 5 minutes of if and I could'n't stomache it, so PAST!

Anyways I just watched my first episode of Hitman! Reborn... I'm enjoying it!

nice, I hope they get all the rest done quick, but at the same time also get some Major S3 done.
The current pace with Ookiku Furikabutte is pretty damn slow. Major is pace is alright, but I hope its gets better too. Oh well can't complain because they ain't dropping it.

I had a similar experience, but last more like 7. Just wasn't meshing with me. Too cute, not enough funny.

So has there been any good new shows this summer so far? I haven't seen many get subbed and the few I saw didn't look to appeal to me. For an idea of what does. I love Death Note, Beck, Monster, and Claymore.

Awesome.

Seems even weirder that they canned the JPN Blu-ray release of it now.

thx for the replies, i just watched some genshiken episodes.
otaku no video is coming up.

both are more about the otaku culture than about the process of creating manga/anime.. but its better than nothing =)

(if anyone knows manga that go deeper into the production, plz say so!)

also:
Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei does seem to be having a fun vibe

You might be interested in "Animation Runner Kuromi"

So I gave up and watched Zero no Tsukaima's first season; now I'm ready to watch the first episodes of the second one but there's about 5 groups if not more subbing it, is any of them specially good/bad?

I don't know... I wonder if this show can still be interesting, now they have actual plot.

Alright... I haven't watched anime in a long time and I need your help guys.

gurren lagan.
CLAYMORE
Darker than Black
Seirei no Moribito
Dennou Coil

Is there anything I'm missing?

I don't want to watch too much so I'd like to know what's the consensus on the very best of spring 2007 and I guess this summer too...? I went up to 20 or so pages of the spring anime thread but gave up, it's too long! :lol Thanks for any help.

Mononoke and Umisho are amusing and look nice. I'll keep up with those until they start sucking

Be warned Mononoke is different and Umisho has gratuitous boobies, always

Chrono, skip Darker than Black and remember to watch Coo the Kappa movie

Dennou, Coo and Gurren are really the essentials i think

Just got done with episode 2 of Zetsubou Sensei; brilliant stuff!! Much better than the first episode by far, definitely my favorite for this season, I just love the mood, hopefully they'll keep up with it.

Yeah,I got the NHK vibe which is good lol. This is definitely on my must watch list,
it so funny at end when he led the whole line of stalkers.

I might have to check it out then, NHK is one of my favorite anime/manga.

For some reason the atmosphere is giving me xxxholic vibes too, like some kind of awesome combination of that and NHK. definitely a winner.
the stalker train at the end of ep 2 was hilarious

LOL defuser, i didn't notice that xD wonder who it could be!

Ookiku Furikabutte really is awesome, it is so refreshing to watch a sports anime that is all about team work instead of an ace. The art style is also really nice and also the sound of it great, instead of music that tries to get you pumped up about watching action, it is a lot of soft music or just parts where all you hear are the crowds cheering and the ball hitting the mitt, it is awesome.

Been watching Nodame Cantabile, Lovely Complex and the HanaKimi liveaction and enjoying all so far. :D Nice to finally catch up on some fansubs.

Wait a minute...I rewatch ep2 again but who was that underneath the nursebed?!?

See how the dress goes to the ankles? It's so obviously that stalker girl. She was dressing like him at that point. Wow, i did not notice that.

Too late to slow down Claymore. Fillers would probably kill the awesome phasing Claymore has.
I would hate to see a crap season where they bake cakes for sad yomas and crap where they talk about special ablities for 60 minutes... Let it end with its head high.

Well, I just caught up with the Claymore manga and now I just can't wait to see some of those scenes animated. The whole war in the north arc is just balls to the wall awesome.

I definitely think they should take a break after
the timeskip with the introduction of the new number 47.

Said I would't but I continued with Doujin Work (I mean it's 10mins per ep show anyway), and well 2nd episode was quite funny though 'buying your first eroge/doujin' scenario is turning into bit of cliche now.
Sad Sensei #2 was top class, whoever was saying Shinbou/SHAFT are repeating themselves maybe should change their minds, I mean premise is the same yeah (teacher meets students), but they're always showing things from different and fresh perspective, improving art from original manga helps too.
Also saw Code E (the one with ROD-like character designs) which wasn't that bad and seems to be plot ridden, guess I might check second episode aswell to form better opinion.

After 2 gruesome weeks of not watching the Amber arc of Darker Than Black, finally watched it and have some comments:
WTFzor!! Amber have the best ability and contract of all,The power to freeze time and paying the contract is getting younger, she is practically invincible and immortal.
And although they didn't show the other 3 members of the evening primrose,it's so obvious the guy in with the spiked short hair is Wei.
