I'm trying to call the number for http://2165846cmo65.com/ but I'm not getting anything.

Only numbers here are 216-584-665 a number is missing, since dialing 216-584-4665 and doing 1-800-216-584-4665 bring up nothing. Doing 121-658-4665 brings up a Bahamas cruise ship (adding a 1 for out of area numbers)....

Edit: Something odd just happened. I tried to middle click the url I linked, the one with the spinning .gif, but IE said it was an attachment? It says (teary eyed here) shredded-evidence-LEFT-to-RIGHT-3of5.zip

I'm sacred to open it.

Enter and re-triple check ASCII number input. Check.

Convert said ASCII number using converter to text. Check.

Get four random funky words. Check.

Enter four random funky words, spaces n' all into passcode box. Check.

Error.

1. Make sure to switch the http://www.unit-conversion.info/texttools/ascii/ website to "ASCII numbers to Text".
2. Make sure you copy the entire output from the conversion (including the space at the end).
3. Know that the numbers are unique each time the page refreshes, so you have to be fast.
4. BONUS Trick: If you switch away from the tab in the browser (I was using Chrome) before the transmission begins, you have infinite time. So if the code search isn't turning up the number for you, just do a screen grab and quickly switch away from that tab until you've converted the numbers.

another one is to right click view picture on the numbers and it shows only the numbers and the timer stops, then click back and input the letters you get after using the codex page

I tried mq4y for the evidence file, but it didn't work. I wonder if it might be a broken up archive.

Edit: adding numbers for the QR code image (level8_05.jpg, for example) moves the image to the right and reveals the rest of the QR code, I guess.

Sorry, can't help you there. I didn't use that method. I took a screenshot and switched off the tab to stop the timer, then did a quick manual transcription. DragonFly also posted an equally effective trick.

Edit: Right, if each line is a sequence of DNA, using a translator ( http://web.expasy.org/translate// ) you get three frames for the line. Thing is, what method do we translate by and do these letters mean anything?
