Super Best Friends |OT2| We Promise Nothing and Deliver Less

...I decided to read the pages of this thread that I missed this afternoon, and things still don't make sense.

Then again, I'm probably just tired from doing game testing yesterday and today. Thank god I have Sunday off.

Ah, I see. I've never used something similar to this and I just can't really get used to it. I mean, in games such as Wind Waker HD, you barely use it. I don't want to hold a large, heavy tablet to play games that barely make use of it.
I get your point though, but I've personally always preferred controllers to everything else. It's the most comfortable and natural to me.

I use the game pad because it has the inputs of the regular controller, so I get where your coming from.

Fucking SAO2. Stupid Kirigod is just too op, it's ridiculous.

I watched the first episode to see what you nerds are on about, and it actually establishes a decent premise. I almost want to watch a few more to see how they manage to (spectacularly, and inevitably) fuck it up.

It establishes an interesting premise and atmosphere then proceeds to shit itself in a way that's almost impressive.

The first episode of season 1? Yeah it starts off with an interesting premise, then begins to be the dumbest
or smartest if you're kotaku
show ever.

No, the first episode of Season 2. There's a lot of promise in some of the subtle world-building and character interactions that I'm confident will be squandered, but there's so much of it that it should be quite a trick to manage to waste all of it.

My running theory is that a lolicon character randomly appears and nothing from the first episode is ever referenced again because it's all about lolis with guns. That seems like the SAO Way (tm) of fucking a thing up.

So my Hori pad came in.

Which means I'll actually be able to play Skullgirls and Ultimax

Doesn't feel bad, I'm surprised.

But was it worth giving up your trump-Johns?

I mean, I got schooled in SF2 last week and I was super glad to have my "who plays Super Turbo on a pad anyway" Johns. (Mostly because it was against another oldman who generally doesn't even play video games, but apparently used to beast on 'Gief and E. Honda back in high school.)

The blue hair girl? She's the waifu for this season. By the third episode you'll be laughing along at how terrible it is.

Hey, remember how last season we were stuck inside an MMO twice and almost died? Well, lets do it again!
SAO is garbage and this season will be garbage too.

They easily set up a premise that could last 20+ episodes then skip over all the interesting stuff about the universe they set up and then go to a bunch of other MMOs for some reason. SAO is baffling.

If that was even close to the only thing wrong with SAO S2 I would be amazed and have to take back most of the terrible things I'm (preemptively) thinking about it.

Like, characters acting like irrational fuckwads isn't even slightly unusual in anime. The only reason shonen gets away with it is because most shonen series immediately strike out to establish that the protagonist has some sort of severe development and/or antisocial disorder to justify their constant dipshittery.

No, irrational characters has never been the driving complaint about SAO. I'm expecting full blown loli-tentacle incest, rampant misogyny, ridiculous pacing problems, and a complete failure to properly develop the characters in the supporting cast. Real narrative failure, not just "anime-acceptable" narrative failure.

Oh no, there is way more stupid shit in SAO S1. Not to the extent that you're thinking, but still terrible. Just wait and see.

I'm through episode 2 and we've already got a lolicon character with animal ears getting her thigh-highs groped by a tentacle monster. I have high hopes! (I should have really set up a bingo board or drinking game before starting down this dark, dark path.)

TFW you're brother is a pleb and thinks animes like SAO are well written...also refuses to watch Jojo, Hokuto no ken, and nichijou cause the "look ugly".

They shoot guns, some l33t h4x0r shot someone through a tv screen inside an mmo and killed him irl.

There's some dumb chick who shot a mugger with his own gun after he almost raped/murdered her mother while robbing a bank, this made her mother hate her.
She's the best sniper in the game and obvious new romantic interest.
She has a gun irl, but that just triggers her ptsd. It's there for no reason other than to justify her ptsd flashback.

Kirito get's asked by the government to go undercover ingame. He's like "Yo, idk." but then he decides to do it anyway.
He ditches Asuna because he's needs to have more sidebitches.
By episode 3 he has done literally, LITERALLY nothing.

Going by the OP Kirito will be playing as a chick this time around and uses SWERDS in a game called GUNgrave , taking his Mary Sue status to a whole new level of douchebaggery and makes him the least undercover undercover-agent you can imagine.

I don't even care about spoilers, that shit is straight up garbage. The worst thing was when he was talking to the goverment guy about the murders he goes "Hmmm, yeah, I don't think it's possible to kill someone irl through the game." THEN WHAT ABOUT THAT GAME THAT KILLED YOU IRL IF YOU DIED IN THE GAME THAT YOU WERE STUCK IN FOR SEVERAL YEARS, HUH? YOU FUCKING IDIOT!

Mmmm. What a premise. Truly an a-mazing show.

Hey guys... I just beat PeaceWalker...

... I like it. Worst metal gear sure but.... I think it's good. The finale was kinda awesome. And
The Boss robot
isn't nearly as sacriligious as it sounds.
I still have the post climax to do... but feelings on this game are very positive right now.

No, Portable Ops is the worst Metal Gear.
