Most underrated...going by things I've played most recently, Shadow Tower Abyss. Of course it's a Japan only game and modeled after the Kings' Field series, but it's pretty rad.

Finally getting my ps4 this Tuesday just for that game. But to be honest, I'm more excited to finally play GZ. I need some more MGS badly and Peacewalker was just plain bad.

I really liked it when it first came out, haven't tried the DLC, I may get it if it goes on sale really cheap. I never realized it until Pat pointed it out here when talking about FE:A but every time I lose a unit in a permadeath game I just save scum and try again, so while it may take a few tries at a map, I never lose any units anyway and there is no real threat. I may just turn into a huge babby and play it casual mode if I go back to it
Despite the terrible Voice acting and the horrible characters, the bad story, and the MC being a huge shithead, I really liked Star Ocean 4. The gameplay was enough to keep me in and I was so into it that I beat it 2 times in one week once going in plain and the other doing the all the sidequests and romancing everyone

For games that were sheer fan service, both Dissidias had crazy amounts of content. It blew my mind that beating 012 just straight up unlocked the original. Probably the games that I logged the most hours on with the PSP, loved playing as Golbez.

I remember playing the vanilla version then when I was able to get All-stars, I kept getting infinite combos done to me. I stopped playing online.
As far as MVC 3 goes, I played vanilla until X factor caused me to have the biggest fit of rage ever towards a game. Luckily I traded it in for New Vegas and never looked back.
Fuck'em both.
TVC is still awesome though.

Literally everything in that game was fanservice, from the attacks, to the stories, to the movements of everything. Its an amazing game, and I just wish it got more love.
