Hey that game that everyone can't beat, don't worry I'll do it in one.

Hey that weapon that completely sucks and no one uses, I'll make it good.

Hey we only have three minutes to get somewhere and no fast travel?(Seriously?) I'm a pro at riding motorbikes.

Hey, EVERY FEMALE CHARACTER splooshes at the sight of me, even my own sister and this kinda creepy nurse wants to fondle me.

Just fuck this

Liam is way off about Shinon. The only interesting thing to come out of her so far is her hilarious back story. OH NO! A HAND IN THE SHAPE OF A GUN?! Fuck that is dumb.

It's fantastic, if you like space operas and political drama it's one of the best animes out there.

But seriously that's so right up my alley; really excited to get into it.

I would understand if her family was killed batman style but no her mum's fine

Random unsolicited anime recommendation: Vandread. Pretty standard and has fanservice/harem shit going on, but there're some emotional moments and some pretty hype shit as it goes on.

Also, it's getting positive buzz around and Liam mentioned it on the podcast, but Aldnoah Zero is a very good and very solid series from this season that has a killer soundtrack.

Aldnoah Zero has been really good so far, I'm just hoping for a bit more character development, especially from the protagonist.

Just gonna' say it, I genuinely like the first Urotsukidoji. The sequels, not so much but they had some good ideas and visuals.

It feels like if they do a few more things correctly, it'll go from a very solid show to an amazing one. Either way it's still an entertaining series as it stands.

Also, Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun from this season is surprisingly genuinely funny.

Go watch Monster. It's Fantastic. Everyone in this thread should be watching.

Monster and Ichi the Killer have been on my list for a long time, but whenever I sit down to watch someone super dark I always end up watching some Moe shit to get myself in a good mood before I start, then I just watch the Moe and never get to the dark stuff.

It really is. Picked it as my fluff series and was surprised at the quality of it, like Girls und Panzer.

I watched it because I watch the first episode of everything because my life is a lie, and I thought I'd ditch it and make fun of it immediately, but goddamn if it isn't endearing.

The shit with the dating sim in the 4th episode was great.

OP is pretty good, too. Reminds me of the Bobobo opening a little bit.

Definitely, I read a part of the manga and it's brutally good. But I dunno how good the anime adapts it in order to decide whether I should just watch the anime or read the manga.

The Anime is very very Faithful to the manga. i'm on like episode 20 now. Its a very very long anime like 73 episodes? i think?

I've been blazing through the Jojo mangas and I am up to the ones with Jotaro and British Jojo and holy shit at Jotaro's crazy ghost stand power.

Man this series is literally the worst and greatest thing I've ever read, everything about it is awesome.

Have you somehow managed to not know about the entire reason JoJo got popular both here and in Japan?

Monster is so great. The first half is such mysteryswole that when the the second half starts, the answers you get make each episode so amazingly satisfying. It has one of the best antagonists I've ever seen
Maybe that Monster HBO show by Guillermo Del Toro will get made... someday.

Dude joeseph is hard american

Tough to think of any anime that isn't super well known to recommend.

Everyone here has either seen or heard of Trigun, Bebop and Champloo right?

Well then... I got nothing to add.
Ippo, Cromartie, Jojo, Berserk, AoT.

Oh, I'd like to ask for a recommendation. I've seen all the 90's era Gundams... when I was like 5, but I wanted to ask which one might hold up the best to rewatch? Wing was a beloved piece of my childhood, but it's too long.
Do you guys know the really short one that was on toonami, where they fight the giant mech at the end, and dude fights with one arm, swinging the other?
Or another short one where an escaped zeta pilot is hiding out on a colony?
I've forgotten the names...

What? Why'd one of the characters call him a brit then, and even said he had a british accent?

Meh, I don't know anymore. xD The Jojo mangas are insane.

Well it's been a while since I read part 3 so I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure he has lived in New York for most of his life

Gundam Wing is the best one to start back with, if not the original Gundam. Certainly wouldn't recommend G Gundam unless you go in knowing it's like the anti-gundam, but it's still super hype.

If we're recommending anime, then I can never not recommend Paranoia Agent. Definitely one of my favorites, one of Satoshi Kon's best. It's a very mental anime, so if you like analyzing and immersing yourself in psychological good times, then check it out.
The opening is perfection.
