Not that I'm encouraging anything, but I'm pretty sure that most of my figures could be sold for at the price I paid or higher. A couple of them tanked shortly after pre-orders... but even then you never know. I've seen bargain bin figures shoot back up once the availability dried up.
That said, figure prices have been on the rise in general. I think that figure manufacturers are realizing that they can get away with charging a premium. I've seen a lot more figures available and drop in price shortly after release... so it's always a gamble. If you really want a figure, you should pre-order it because you may not want to scour the aftermarket once it's sold out.

So since we're talking about SAO, during Alfheim Online I was extremely confused because I assumed Kirito's sister knew it was her brother the whole time when they were playing together. So when she realized it was him I was bewildered because I just assumed she knew the whole time. I can understand him not knowing it was her, since her character model is completely different but Kirito was literally his IRL appearance.
