You should still watch Katanagatari though. The action is fantastic. I was so mad at that show though. That and Xam'd. ::Huff::
I have watched it :). I went through a phase of watching as many Nisio Isin adaptions as I could.
Edit: If we're talking about TV shows to watch everyone should watch Utopia.

Instead of anime why don't you guys recommend movies/ tv shows?

Because we're huge nerds.

Here's my movie recommendations:
Captain America: The Winter Soldier
Guardians of the Galaxy
Pacific Rim

TV:
Twin Peaks
That's all I got.

Comics:
Iron Man (Marvel Now)
Alias
Civil War

If anyone does want anime recommendations, I will be here all day typing up a list.

Just an idea that came to me. How about trading recommendations for anime with each other. Basically I'll watch an anime someone recommends to me if they will watch something that I suggest, like Shin Mazinger.

Unless it's fucking SAO or Log Horizon, in which case you have to watch Kodomo no Jikan. Fight poison with poison.

I went into Fargo expecting to hate it, but I thought it was just as good as the movie.

I like it better than the movie personally. They're both dark comedies, but the movie is too dark for me honestly. Jesus. Whereas the tv show was a lot lot of fun.

But on topic, this was an excedeing great year for tv. True Detective, Hannibal, Fargo, each one of those shows is like the best show I've seen in years, and they all came out in the same year.

The first 4 seasons of this show are fucking awesome. Seasons 5 and 6 drop the ball. Avoid 7 and 8.

It's basically a comedy show with light detective show elements. It's nothing groundbreaking but it's probably the most fun I've had with modern TV. Catching all the random references is a game in and of itself. It's not perfect though, and it jumps the shark in goofiness and drama in later seasons. If nothing else, you can watch the episode that's an homage to Twin Peaks called Dual Spires.

Edit: Oh and if we're power listing, then also: Twin Peaks, Avatar TLA, Louie

Shows
- Twin Peaks
- Avatar TLA
- Gravity Falls
- Games of Thrones (then go read the books)
- The Wire
- Breaking Bad

Too many movies to list, but Breakfast Club is something I'd recommend to anyone.

The new season of Gravity Falls is off with a bang. That
Dipper/Mabel hybrid monster
from last episode was legit disturbing on a Thing-like level.

Good man.

Like I said in the topic, it reminded me of an early Resident Evil monster.

I will also Recommend Legend of Korra. Its pretty good. the 2nd season lacked but 1 and season 3 (so far) have been great.

If you consider Korra to be the story of the worst avatar who ever lived, LoK is an amazing show. But to get the most out of that, you have to watch the first series, which is, front to back, excellent.

I wanna start The Wire BUT I need to finish Monster First.

I watched the original series, so i know most of the older characters and references that returned in Korra. and yes Avatar:The Last Airbender is Fantastic.

I'm just going to post all of the shows that I watch/have watched and put a plus sign next to my favorites.

My Man Chuck is so good. Same with Arrow, it's cheesy but the villains are great.

Don't know if I'll go to jail for linking this but...

I thought it was that. I remember it being brought up here before, so the name sounded familiar. You might want to mention that's NSFL. Now I'll be going to prison for real this time.
Worth it.

You two are gonna get more than time in prison if we go through with this exchange.

You sure you want that?

Will it be something like Freedom Wars?

As someone who just finished reading Kodomo no Jikan. Don't read/watch Kodomo no Jikan.
The story was actually alright. The creepiness wasn't. See you all in jail.

If we're talking cartoons, Clone High is a great show that just happened to premier at the completely wrong time. I think if it popped up a few years later it would have exploded.

I'm ashamed of all of you for failing to mention the sopranos!

Smh

I got Blue Embrace as my Stand's name. Its power is Ability Transcendence:
Users can not only learn abilities, but even push them beyond their limits by creating new and more advanced ways to use them, improving their capabilities to unprecedented heights of power and efficiency. Freezing abilities could be applied to space-time itself, burning abilities could consume anything without a trace, summoning abilities could permanently enslave any kind of entity, absorbing abilities could steal the powers of godly beings, and more generally any ability could be perfected and amplified way beyond its normal limits. Users could even combine learned abilities to create superior hybrid ones.

Cool.

You randomized more than once didn't ya? ;)

Fuck, that's way cooler than mine. I got a piece of bread that makes everyone nice to each other. :(

Clone High was one of my favourite shows, when it got cancelled it was an injustice. It always bugs me when people throw a shit fit over something that is obviously a comedic parody. Ghandi can be any way we want Ghandi to be.

I think part of what made that show great was that it was essentially a show about a group of kids who could never possibly live up to the legacy of their parents, who just happen to be some of the most influential figures in history.

Okay, got mine. They fit rather well actually.

Name: Electric Youth
Power: Electromagnetic Constructs
Users can turn Electromagnetism into tools, objects, weapons and other items, create semi-living constructs and/or create structures/buildings of varying permanence. Users who have mastered this ability can use it for almost any situation, creating anything they need.

Let's mmake it more random for fun http://music.wikia.com/wiki/The_Blues_Brothers hit random page and the first song or band name is your Stand's name

Then go here http://powerlisting.wikia.com/wiki/Superpower_Wiki hit random until you get a power that fits the name...if you guys want to do it more randomly.

Heh.
