So I was watching the newest Jojo episode and noticed something. I always heard Whamu and Karu on the opening and I thought they were referencing the pillar men. I just looked at the lyrics and found out it they actually say "wa mukau". Do you think it is a coincidence or is supposed to be a Japanese pun?

Edit: I also didn't realize certain parts of the song are actually in "English".

Probably a coincidence, sort of like some Japanese names and words sound like Spanish (for example, Mikasa sounds like "mi casa," which means "my house").

1080p Zelda is tops!

I LOVE playing on the Gamepad. That's means I can chill with my Gamepad and wreck y'all in MK without leaving my bed.

Nintendo's got something here.

Wow, I'm loving Shovel Knight, it hits the perfect balance of not too hard, but not too easy. And it's honestly a joy to play through, I'm on Plague Knight right now.

I still haven't beaten DS2 once. I just don't have any drive to play it

Way LTTP, but I keep trying to care enough to finish it, but I think it made me sick of games for a long time trying to beat it ASAP when it came out on PC. Feels weird to call myself a Souls fan and beat Dark 1 8 times and say I haven't finished 2.

(Wow, this is one of the first days I've missed several pages of this thread. Everyone in here is crazy
and I love you guys for it <3
)

If you want a show full of Japanese puns we didn't really understand, it's what Kill la Kill does.

You're in for a treat. When I got it I didn't stop until I beat it, which took me until 5:30 in the morning. It's that good.

Man fuck KH 1.5. They made the optional content in that game way too much of a goddamn hassle.

I'm going through for a No Continue trophy on Proud mode. I've read about the 15 Hour Run trophy, and I hope the game unlocks multiple difficulty trophies. I want to do as little playthroughs as possible.

Just fought The Baz Knight
Really, I'm enjoying this more than some of the OG Megaman games. (I always preferred Zero and X over those anyway,) Finished Plague Knight.

I'll probably finish tomorrow.

I don't even own it yet..
Waiting for that 60% sale

I'm just waiting until all the DLC is out. So far the wait has been painful as I pretty much have no say in any of the arguments about the game's quality.

Except that it's not better than Demon's Souls, but then again neither is Dark 1.

...someone at least tell me they fixed the counter hit damage system in Dark 2. Tell me I can hit an enemy before their attack hits instead of afterwards for extra damage.

The original X series trilogy is hype as shit. I've been meaning to get ahold of the Zero games eventually, I really should.

It has the full windows of oppurtunity, plus after breaking poise and just normal hits in the back of some enemies. It doesn't work with all weapons though. Each weapon has a "counter strength" that's basically their counter multiplier.

The Zero series was the first experience I had with Mega Man, In fact I don't really like the classic games all that much other than X.

X1 > X3 > MM9 > MM2 > MM1 > X2 > MM10 > MM3 > The other various classic games.

Shovel Knight fits in there with X1 and X3 though, it dethroned MM9 as my favorite modern 'classic' game.
There is a Zero Collection for the DS that has the complete series.

The best way I can describe the Zero series is...kind of like if Platinum made a platformer. It's fast paced, expect position and understanding of the system, and you are graded after each mission with the ability to start a new game plus.

Well that's pretty damn promising. I've got a huge backlog of handheld games, but if I ever stop playing Monster Hunter whenever I touch my 3DS, I'll get on that.

Finished Baoh, it was strange, just when the series seemed to be picking up, it ended. If Araki ever gets interested in it again, I wouldn't mind him continuing it.

The only thing I really have to add to the Dark Souls vs. Dark Souls 2 discussion is to say that I recently had cause to play DS1 without any patching (someone else's PS3 with no internet access), and it's worth noting that the game did improve significantly with patches, not only in terms of game balance but also things like UI functionality, enemy placement and behavior, description text, etc.

So, while Dark Souls 2 will likely never be as good, there is the possibility it could get significantly better with a little TLC. I mean, the Souls games are extremely unpolished, they can benefit from patching more than most modern games.

so anyone besides me reading the Real Life Purge thread in OT
like what in the actual fuck
I'm not far from there :(
Really though, it's a good example of how panicked people can get. Also stupid. Hopefully that one homicide is ALL that happens. Pretty fucked.

You better have grabbed the Dark Wood Grain ring. It used to give ninjaflips for under 50% equip load, which mean leveled correctly, you can ninjaflip with full Havel's.

thats not the police
thats Bish come in person to ban your ass in real life

This motherfucker knows what is up!

Now if you'll excuse me, it seems the police are coming and I need to get my affairs in order.

Are we talking about DOA waifu's now???

I got Ayane and Mila...note have not played the games a ton I'm just basing it off of design right now.

I did, though I was playing a Great Scythe build so I mostly just used the gold-hemmed set for style points. Also because I'm too lazy to switch armor for situational use when I could just be ninja-flipping out of danger.

I had also completely forgotten that there used to be a bug where the bridge dragon in Undead Burg would randomly die of - uh, I don't even know, actually. I walked out of the Undead Parish and got 10,000 souls. As soon as it happened, I remembered it being something that did happen, but I don't think I ever puzzled out why.

(Also, the soul value of bosses in the pre-patched release was garbage. I actually had to stop and farm souls now and then just to meet gear and spell minimums because the bosses weren't paying out.)

I'll read it, it's weird, that I would rather read the Manga of things, than watch the Anime now.

Not really, IMO it pretty much happens to everyone who watches enough anime and manga. You realize you can read manga in a fraction of the time it takes to watch anime, and the manga usually has better art, less censorship and doesn't end halfway through the story.

The only things anime has over manga is good animation (which most anime don't even have.anyway) and music.
