I mean it didn't seem like they had really much going on, based on the trailer, but a Konami remake is really the only scenario in which they don't look like major dicks.

And the music and art was spot on. Hayter too, obviously.
 
It's so weird to see them do short Machinima videos again. It's technically been 5 months but it feels like a year. I don't know if I even like the Machinima videos anymore, I'd rather watch the full LP's.

I agree with this, it is very rare that I prefer one of their quick cut videos to a non edited one. Not to say the content isn't good, it's what got them started doing full LPs in the first place right?

This is also my input on both of the situations. I hate playing Majora cause of the time limit, but I love what it is. It was dark enough that kid me thought it was super hype.

You're missing out on the incredible 64 bit graphics.

LTTP is a very good Zelda game, but Zelda 1 was something else man.

Cryptic as shit and literally Dark Souls before Dark Souls was a thing. Bare in mind that there were no wikis or nothing like Gamefaqs when that game came out. You had to be either subscribed to Nintendo Power to figure everything out or buy a game guide.

LTTP made the experience feel kind of linear in my humble opinion.

All the Majora's Mask love surprises me... here I thought people didn't like it because it wasn't Adult Link.

I tried both OOT 3D and Twilight Princess. Couldn't get into them.

I can't say much about Zelda 1 since I haven't played it yet, but I can think of two things that aLttP did better then Zelda 1. Swordplay and the map. Also, wasn't Zelda 1 the first and last game to be non linear until a Link Between Worlds came out?

I read some article in a magazine ages ago saying MM wasn't as good as OoT because no Adult Link and the game was given a 7/10.

Ignored it, bought MM anyways, and proceeded to love it.

I do remember talking to my friends who didn't like MM and I had to explain the time mechanics to them so they understood.

To this day, I still don't understand that Rupee bank thing. Technically, I can't have an account prior to Skull Kid so I should NEVER be able to save Rupees.

To my knowledge, yes. I want to try ALBW but no 3DS.

Swordplay improvement was gonna happen. Zelda 1's swordplay was terrible. The map system is LTTP was so cool!

Both Drangleic shield and Defender's shield are better in almost every possible way (former requires 1 extra strength, whereas the latter requires one less than Drangleic and is lighter). Only problem being that both of these are rather late game, but overall the Drangleic shield is by no means the best shield in the game, unless Pat specifically means at that point in the game. Even then it depends on your build, because if you're using a strength build, Old Knight's Shield trumps it as well (it trumps almost every medium shield for that matter) and can be gotten very early.

I just don't like it because as a little Million Jr. I spent all my time running around Clock Town try to figure out what to do, and time ran out on me twice. Never really picked it up again after all this time.

It was 14 years ago. It wasn't EGM and it wasn't Gamepro. It could've possibly been one of the smaller niche magazines.

A lot of people hate on non adult lord of the rings link, like a lot not joking.

That's why I am scared for this new zelda, it will do well but it will be sad it didn't do as well as it could because link doesn't look like twilight princess or late game oot

I'm sad that the Gargoyles in Dark 1 are really easy compared to Maneater in Demon's. Maneater felt like I was running into a brick wall. But thankfully in Demon's I could just go do another world when I got stuck.

Don't group me with the fanbase man. I love anything Zelda related as it's usually of a decent quality.

There are still people who hate the Cel-shaded WW Link, which is fucking madness and a bad opinion.

A Link to the Past will always be my favorite Zelda, but nothing will beat OoT when it comes to which had the biggest impact.

Also, I think people are mostly hating on Toon Link, not kid Link.

Anything that isn't adult lord of the rings esque tp oot link isn't their vison of link.

The only version of link I hate on is the og super peter pan-ey link,the design of lot of the charccters back in the day seemed super generic, it was kinda of a downer when I saw that lbw was suppoused to look like ww link at some point.

Link to the Past rocks too. Talking about 2D Zelda is almost a different series though. I grew up playing both, so no real preference.
2D Mario > 3D Mario though.

At least its not as stressful as luigis mansion was gonna be, if luigis mansion kept that time limit I would not have liked it as much as I do.

It's totally possible and can take you by surprise sometimes. Enemy AI is definitely programmed to take advantage of exposed backs, but for the most part this isn't shown because folks tend to keep their foes in front of them (usually due to simply using Lock On) or, when they decide to turn tail and haul ass, they spam dodge before sprinting away. The only time when backstabs are (SPOILERS)
when you're fighting the mist-men in that forest full of trees with faces and you're saddled with the double-whammy of not being able to lock and and not being able to see your opponent on anything other than a good HD TV (and even then, only when you're pretty close).

Well at least one of the other fan games for Chrono trigger finally go released around two years ago.
 
So I just binged on Persona 3 all night. Managed to beat 2 full moons and now about to start the summer vacation arc. Close to catching up to where I left off years ago when I stopped playing. I found a nice balance between doing as many floors on Tartarus as possible in one night and spending the rest of the months doing school stuff. The difference between the first time I played is now I know how to micro manage social links and maxed two of them so far: The one with the christmas cake loving classmate and the classmate with the fucked up ankle. I was doing some of the other students but it seems that the female social links get jealous if you pursue the other girls further.

Anyway, I'm close to maxing academic so I can win the best girl:

I actually haven't played enough of P3 yet to get a good grasp on the best waifus yet. But Yukari seems to have problems with shooting herself in the head, which is always a good trait in females.

You act like this isn't a common opinion. Fuuka's S Link is terrible just because it uses the already overused Lethal Chef trope. Seriously, fuck this trope, why does it have to be in like 80% of anime-related things.
