Y'all just need to learn to love the shield, it's perfect.
Maybe if it's in Demon's Souls where the environment or other circumstances don't lend well to dodge rolling. Playing Dark Souls again recently, I only used a shield for parrying and that was it, because that game is so piss easy in comparison.

Yeah, I got that Tower shield and black knight sword(upgraded to +2) super early in the game and then made it my mission to get to the proper level to use them. So, some 80k souls later I started using it (32 STR, 18 Dex, 14 resistance, 12 Faith, 9 attunement, 22 Endurance, 21 Vitality) and so far I've killed most of the bosses in the game at this point(and just rang the bell, I know there's a few more bosses left).

Not even half-way done, bro.

Good set up, though. I'm never that heavy though. I like to be able to roll.

Sick dude. Glad to hear you're liking it. That stuff can carry you to endgame, just be aware finding twinkling titanite is kinda rare, so if you see a Crystal Lizard, you definitely wanna kill it to get more.

Shield is good for a first playthrough. Don't listen to the nerds. Would still recommend leveling END to get your equip under 50% to make your rolls viable.

Shields are for the weak

Shields are for cowards.
:P

Yeah, bro!

Oh God, thank you for saying that. I was playing through Demon Souls, and was feeling really scrubby because I wasn't able to dodge anything.

I'm starting to agree with this, but I have to prioritize my weight when I play

I focus on weapon first, the armor pieces. For a good chunk of my stream, I was naked, just to keep my weight low.

As I always say, if you aren't getting hit, what do defense numbers mean.

Yeah. Narrow pathways, some with no ledges, and of course the horror that is the swamp in the Valley of Defilement. Either get used to defending yourself in disadvantageous situations, or go for counter hit damage by intercepting their attacks before they hit you, if you're daring.

Why haven't any of you read Baoh yet? (Don't watch it, the OVA is awful,) it's super interesting and short. No excuses!
I'm reading Kongou Bancho and loving the shit out of it. That's my excuse.

Along with Ana Satsujin, Nisekoi, Boku Girl, and Shima Shima. Yeah, took a trip over to MangaGAF and came away with those.

If you fastroll with Havel's, you know you've achieved the ultimate pleasure.

Shields are still pro though. Cause Grass Crest Shield.

Grass Crest Shield = Best shield

Keep that beauty strapped to my back at all times.

I'm still not going to use a shield, so I'll just keep dying over and over til I get it.

Haha, yeah I made a mistake, I've rung both bells but thanks for the complements I like the build I have currently but I am wondering what being a pyromancer or mage would be like.

I've rang both bells, and as for boss count:

Gaping Dragon
Taurus Demon
Capra Demon
Quelaag
Pinwheel
Bell Gargoyles
Moonlight Butterfly

I also have Havel's Ring and the ring you get from Lautrec when you kill him, so my equip load is fairly light.

Shield is godmode guys, get gud.

Okay so I've been meaning to ask this question did anyone level up
Shinji even knowing that he dies?
On my playthrough I didn't do it at all since
i knew that happened

I keep setting myself up for this. I'm never going to live this down. ;~;

It's fine you can join me in the shame car along with Maragi and his Ken love.

Well I dont see the need for him since one I hate him and two I already have hama skills.

He also gets a bunch of good healing, lightning, and physical attacks. He's actually a pretty good to have on your team.
inb4 but fuck Ken.

Nope, I didn't even know
he was going to die. Even though he has no weaknesses,
except pierce attacks
, I didn't see a point in using him.

Or you can be a shieldsunbro.

Don't you want to be a shieldsunbro?

Git gud at shields you nerds.

What you're saying is the exact opposite of gitting gud. You should
shift into superiority
and learn2roll.

I was all like "aw yeah gonna put this guy in my party for sure, even if his moves are kinda weird." I used him on that all the Full Moons I could too.

More reasons I should play P3P. I gotta get a PS Liam TV or a Liam.

Okay I was wondering about that for a while since to me it feels
slightly like wasted levels/time training up someone who is just going to die.

Dang it guys the gif site is busy thanks a lot

Okay, I don't think I've ever complained about something like this before, but...just started the new Shaolin Monks video on the website and didn't get an ad even though I've got the site whitelisted in AdBlock.

I wanna support the Best Friends =/

That actually also is a feeling I have, LOL. I think it's not "good" to say it, but I tend to click around on the site to get plenty of ads. And if I get a cool ad, I actually do click it from there. Normally I don't click any ads ever.

They don't want our viewing money, they only need our Marvel vs Capcom 3 Ultimate discs and possibly some Vita Memory Cards (those things be expensive as fuck).

Oh god I've just realised I've been super casual in P3P
Jotun of Grief absorbs everything but pierce. I'm gonna cry. I mean it isn't impossible, but it makes me regret focusing on Akihiko, Mitsuru and Yukari. Everyone else is literally untouched.

He is the
Aerith
of P3. Except not as bad.

Also, you fucked up super hard there. Learn to multi-quote.
