Does being a dex character in Dark Souls 2 just completely suck, or am I doing it wrong? I honestly can't tell. I just did a dex run of Demon's Souls and it was awesome, but now it's like I have the disadvantages of having a dex build vs. a strength build, minus the advantages.

Dex build in DS2 sucks purely because the weapon layout throughout the game is garbage. Yknow what's a godlike Dex Weapon? The Espada Ropera. Too bad you get it 99% through the game.

Not much experience with dex builds, but I know they're super OP in DS1.

Also, isn't Ricard's Rapier like an extremely good Dex weapon, especially if you put poison or something on it too?

Dex build in DS2 sucks purely because the weapon layout throughout the game is garbage. Yknow what's a godlike Dex Weapon? The Espada Ropera. Too bad you get it 99% through the game.

So far, my best weapon is the Heide Knight Spear, which isn't even strictly a dex weapon. I was hoping the Blacksteel Katana would be good, but while it has excellent scaling, it has shit base damage. I really miss being an unstoppable tank.

The real problem I face now is that, if I can't handle being dex anymore and I want to respec, I'll still be fucked because I've already put all of my upgrade materials into dex weaponry and light armor.
