I hit it 10 times and the buy dialog came up when I hit notify. I put in my password, unfortunately nothing happened. if I had one tap purchases setup or touch id (dont on this device) makes me think that it may have actually worked.

Edit: it actually worked. It was on the notify screen not showing anything happening, hit home. Mario Run on the home screen ready to go.

All I had to do was open the App Store, tap featured (bottom left) 10 times, wait for the App Store to refresh and then go to the super mario advert and click notify and it started downloading. All this on an iPhone 6.

Update trick seems to be working better now that the store is slow (at least on my connection). Spamming "notify" eventually worked. I probably got 20 clicks in (where you can see the button highlight) before the phone processed the first click.

Yo, 10x update worked for me after a bunch of time. Taped "notify" on the app page, it said the usual "you already purchased this so downloading for free" and there it is
