Wiimote + Nunchuk could double for virtual bongos if you don't have the peripheral, as well, opening the game to more sales. (And still being closer to the original subject matter than using a standard controller.)

It's not. NCL annouced it SWITCHED to Wii. NOA hasn't offically made any comment but its not coming to GCN anymore, regardless if NOA has yet to say so.
