Was there much of a backlash against the 3DS release because it doesn't really have a story mode? It's strange, it feels like it is packed with content, but at the same time I do miss some type of story mode like on Gamecube.

Can they add more 'challenges' (forgot the specific name) for each of the DLC fighters?

I hope you realize that Banjo will never get in Smash. Too much legal bullshit involved, & Nintendo isn't gonna help a direct competitor promote one of their IPs.

Honestly, Wolf (independent of the balloth & King K. Rool (as a result of the ballot) seem to be the most realistic given Wolf is the same situation Lucas was in & that Rool is likely currently the most requested (based on estimates, which may not be entirely accurate).

Inkling and Wolf

While the Inkling is among my personal favorites (third to Wonder Red & the Chorus Kids), I'm not sure she can beat King K. Rool at this rate. Plus I feel like Splatoon may be saved for Smash 5 on account of the recency of the IP. At least in the cases of Roy in Melee & the Yoshi's Woolly World level in Smash U, both were from established Nintendo franchises.
