Mewtwo's Palutena's Guidance is that default "error" message guidance. I guess you can expect that for all DLC characters then. =/

He plays pretty much exactly the same as he does in Melee. Maybe there are differences that are noticeable to the more hardcore players, but to the average player, he's pretty much identical.

In case anyone was wondering, the unused Palutena Guidance dialogue is indeed used for DLC characters. Just tried it with Mewtwo on the field.

Also, Mewtwo feels pretty good! Definitely better than his Melee iteration. I think he will be a solid B-tier character.

Yes, Mewtwo comes with all trophies every other character has. His Classic and All Star trophies are earned the same way as any character. His alt color trophy is awarded instantly on the Wii U.

Does Mewtwo have custom moves? Are they unlocked by default?
Mewtwo has no custom moves at all.

Can I use Mewtwo online?
Yes, in With Anyone and With Friends. Your friend doesn't need to own Mewtwo.

Does Mewtwo show up in Classic/All Star
Yes, Mewtwo is fully implemented into these modes.

Does Mewtwo have Palutena's Guidance?
No, he uses the fallback one, which is vague and non specific and made for all DLC characters.

Mewtwo feels pretty good in my book, he has better range and his attacks have larger hitboxes than his Melee incarnation.

Here is a list of stuff Mewtwo has going for him; I think he is B tier minimum:

-Throw that KOs ~140% anywhere on the screen.
-Fast, high-priority dtilt.
-Tick throws.
-KO projectile that does great shield damage.
-Reflector.
-Command grab.
-Teleport.
-Good recovery in general.
-Long-range normals.
-Smash attacks that KO well.
-Invisible air dodges.
-Solid ground roll.

Weaknesses (IMO):
-Light and easy to KO.
-Grab range is mediocre.
-Pivot grab range is awful.
-Disable is hard to utilize.
-Bair and nair have some recovery (but great hitboxes).
-Slow movement speed.
-No great attacks to discourage rolls behind him.
-Lots of recovery on teleport.

Most of his weaknesses can be mitigated, however.

The worst change to Mewtwo is no more NIEEEH when you use his side b.

Edit: Also something I noticed which I'm not sure if it was in Melee, his side b will know push you forward once in midair, meaning it can be used for recovery. It also looks like his side b will send foes into tumble in midair, which might lead into some good follow-ups if they don't tech when they land.

I'm convinced they fixed the hitbox (grabbox?) on Palu's dash grab. Yay for more consistent follow-ups!

Also, interesting note: the CSS is nowhere near as ugly in the online modes!

The trend is to try and get customs legal. The next major Smash Tournament, EVO is running with customs on.

DLC characters no having customs might hurt this movement towards customs.

I'd recommend deleting something you are not currently using until you've got external storage, that way the update data is installed to your console too.

I just dismantled my old laptop for a HDD and bought a case so I can use it for the Wii U. It's probably for the best.

Also deleted all updates for different games and I can finally download the update for smash now.

I really enjoy using him. At first he felt stiff, but after about 45 minutes he was flowing naturally. While I'm not sure I'll entirely drop Bowser (free wins for people that don't know how to handle him!), I'm definitely making Mewtwo my main or secondary.

The trend is to try and get customs legal. The next major Smash Tournament, EVO is running with customs on.

DLC characters no having customs might hurt this movement towards customs.

If you intend on posting your FAQ multiple times, would you mind adding my pro/con list about him? Lots of people are also asking how he plays, and this might help them figure him out.

The share feature is pretty disappointing - mostly excited to use it get stages, but since there's no ability to 'rate' anything, you have no idea if stages are good or not, you just have to go by the picture. It also seems to only spit out the most recent stuff, you can't really search.

Hoping to find stuff like good N64 stage re-creations but it's tough because you download one and then find out it's just not a good one.

Apparently as a side effect of not wanting you to transfer DLC costumes between versions without paying, any costume you don't have unlocked is removed in the transfer.

This didn't used to be like this, and was probably implemented for the DLC and it was easier to make it apply to all Mii cosmetics.
