Just tried Mewtwo, feeling pretty good about his inclusion. He moves a little differently than PM/Melee, but it's not bad. I like his animations, but I'm really bitter about them just leaving customs out. I expect all DLC chars will be like this now. This is gonna put a damper on what this metagame could be.

Just a reminder, this is not redeemed in the eShop, at least not in NA. You redeem from the in-game DLC shop.

The Wii U code is redeemed in the eShop, however.
 
Shulk feels the same. MALLC still works and everything. Yeesssss!

Link's Jab 1 seems to have more lag. Probably to prevent his jab lock shenanigans, but this also prevents Link from hit confirming into kill moves. Not liking this change...

Pikachu feels the same too. Heavy Skullbash still really strong.

Tried out Mewtwo for a few minutes; seems pretty fun! Smash attacks seem strong.
 
Now that I got my codes I like mewtwo a lot. The aerial shadow ball works amazing as a emergency evade or as a tactical back dash.

And I think confusion shenanigans can work.

The lack of customs though...
 
Training mode says his Side B combos with basically any of his A attacks but the Side B causes the light hitstun that people can cancel with basically any move the moment the damage stops.
 
Yeah, Mewtwo is just fun as shit. And everything about him just works better than Melee. I dunno how good that will actually make him, but he's even more fun to play now. So psyched he's back.
 
I remember it being every time I left smash it changed. Maybe it is only by power, I could be remembering wrong.

I don't think it was by power though.

I'm pretty sure it never changed when you have the game still on. In the past, when I had left Smash to go online the rules stayed the same.
 
Playing as Mewtwo is so surreal and nostalgic at the same time. Lovin' him!

Didn't come with this patch and neither did Tournament Mode or the online lobbies/TourneyMode/communities (the equivalent to MK8's tournaments). Guess we have to wait until JUNE now for those.

Methinks they've saving Miiverse for a stage pack DLC.

Luigi got nerfed apparently with no invincibility on his USmash, haven't bothered checking it though.

E: Seems to check out though I haven't played enough luigi to know what it used to be like
 
So remember how you can punish Samus for getting Jab1 to hit? Sakurai liked that so much they made ftilt work like that as well! Yay!

For realsies, I got reverted to Mario and Isabelle is no where to be found.
 
Pretty surreal that there's now a fan made smash game and an official smash game that have both added Mewtwo back.

I'm going to keep up with the checking the patch notes but it's gone back on the shelf for me, I was hoping for (but not expecting) a few major changes to shake things up a bit but that doesn't seem to be the case.
