Now you got caught! :P

Sorry Boney, but corn is ready and I gotta eat! GGs, sorry my Ike wasn't up to snuff against your Samus, I promise to bring out my mains next time!
No problem, you were still pretty scary with him, and closer than I was comfortable with. Damn counter killed my zard mojo though

Thank you! I only play him for fun now so I'm glad I can still make him work. :) I really needed more experience against Samus, I don't know how to break through her zoning in a default meta. D:

Also Marf >>>>>>zard LMAOOOOOOO

I'm staying at my friend's place until Wednesday while she's out of the country, and I can't believe how good the wireless connection is. I've been playing with people all over Japan and even from outside the country with little to no lag. It's crazy!

That said, I'll be happy to be back at home with my wired connection in a couple days.

I decided to get around to updating the 3DS version today. And so I have the Ice Climbers theme on my 3DS I bought a week or so ago.

This is really awkward to hear their theme playing in the background while updating the game on the system that caused them to be cut :x

And it won't stop. It just keeps looping. Nana is mid dying animation on the top screen.

I should have just kept closing and opening my 3DS until I got Groudon or wood cut Mario or one of the freebies I throw in rotation.

GGs! Is Ness your main? I feel like out of the characters you played, my Sonic definitely would have the toughest time against him.

I usually go Mario, Diddy, or Ness in tournament depending on the matchup. I've also used DK and C.Falcon in some instances too. Haven't brought out Ness in awhile but him or customs Mario (Scalding FLUDD. :3) are what I'm most comfortable with against Sonic.

I use most of the cast so I'm still trying to find a more reliable main until Lucas comes out.

As a Zelda player, fighting Mac is nightmare.
Zelda could really use some better range on her tilts. As Bowser, I can completely control Little Mac if I make all the right decisions. I...don't imagine it's the same for Zelda players.

Also, how do you make Din's Fire stop? I didn't know you could do that until a few days ago. Can you leave it somewhere and then move around? I thought I saw someone do that...

ike is my main and after playing a recent local tourney and getting my ass kicked, I'm practicing more to improve my skills. Right now I'm trying to get better against distance and projectile characters because I feel they are Ike's kryptonite. Training with my lvl 50 mega man amiibo to get better but damn I have a long way to go. Barely can get one one stock off him.

Play AnonymousTipster here. He'll make you feel great.

Custom. I forget which one but that's not a regular Din's Fire for sure. It's also on a timer and you can't move Zelda around.

Generally, for Zelda vs Mac, it's really hoping you get him off stage. Then you can control the fight since Mac has no aerial game. Luckily Mac flies easily, but just getting to that point takes effort.

I actually beat him with my Ike once, in the most intense battle we had. 3 stocks, 8 minutes, and we were at the 5-second countdown on our last stock with him over 100% and all I needed was a good hit to end him.

I jumped forward and hit him with a bair, and right before the announcer could call out "TIME" Tipster passed the side blast zone and "GAME" was shouted instead. We both Kreygasm'd.

Shame this was pre-patch and I never recorded it, all I have is my word and hopefully Tipster hasn't forgotten. Ike vs. Mega Man isn't impossible, I tell ya!

Are you sure? Someone did it to me on For Glory.

Two of our Mewtwo vs. Megaman matches went to < 30 seconds.

It's possible to stop Din's Fire and make it blow up anytime if thats what you're saying. But not actually stop it midair and leave it.

Is this the one you're talking about? Cause that's Din's Blaze.

Din's fire is just a fireball that has some vertical movement and mostly horizontal movement. Letting go of B lets it blow up although it won't be as powerful.

Incredible Ness vs. Palutena right now.

Hmm. I thought it happened in FG, but maybe I'm wrong. Amazing video, though. I had no idea you could do that.

I'm beginning to think matches vs. Rockman in general tend to almost go to time. >.>

Also, I want to play Ike again but it's really hard to play a character without a projectile. :(
It's all about punishing Megaman's projectiles. Here's some stuff I learned with Mewtwo; some of it applies to all characters:

*Nair destroys all of Megaman's specials. If he throws Metal Blade, I can Nair through it and punish him without getting hit. If I push Nair close enough to the blade, I will catch it instead of destroying it.
*Jab will also destroy Megaman's specials.
*Any attack will catch Metal Blade if you start it close enough to the blade.
*Shadow Ball > All.
*Crash Bomb doesn't cause hitstun when it lands on you. It's fine to take the hit and get a dash attack in. Then shield the explosion - it's generally a good trade.
*If you have Crash Bomb on you, Mewtwo's teleport will attach the bomb if you teleport THROUGH Megaman - Mewtwo's model must "move" through the space in the game's code. Attach it to him at the last second for free damage (Tipster is wise to this).

Basically, the key to beating Megaman is attacking through his projectile game. They can all be punished consistently, nothing is safe except for his lemons, which aren't winning any matches on their own. Doing this all consistently is difficult, but possible. The hardest thing about Megaman, IMO, isn't the projectiles, but his stupidly good dodges and jumps. His up B basically gives him a triple jump, so it is very hard to gimp him or land follow-up attacks. If Megaman didn't have his incredible aerial mobility and great dodges, I think he would be much more manageable. Instead, you have to take your one hit, and then accept that the fight will probably return to neutral despite your best efforts.

Whoa hit boxes, I managed to hit you when you were underneath the ledge.

GGs TWILT. I had to play more patiently during that last match, 'cause you were starting to figure out how to block my spin dash shenanigans too well. One of my big weaknesses is when opponents start to just block that stuff; I get confused about how I'm supposed to approach them when that happens, and then it all goes downhill.

I'm just now exploring the wonders of Dedede customs. Rising Dedede is really a great move over the default in the majority of situations. It catches a lot of people off stage. I think I'll use it 100% of the time now. Bouncing Gordo is probably going to be 50/50 with regulars, depending on stage and matchup. They provide some great stage control though with much less threat of having them bounced back at you. Shame nothing can really save the Jet Hammer.

Any word on when the Mewtwo glitch patch is coming out? I haven't done anything just yet that would trigger it, but I'm scared to take chances (I've grown quite fond of looking at my GSP).

Zero takes Sandstorm singles as Diddy Kong without dropping a set.

I'm beginning to think he's just on a completely different plane than any other Sm4sh player out there right now.

I love listening to Zero when he's on mic. The way he can break down what he's seeing and how it translates in this gameplay is really impressive. And yeah, Diddy is still a fine character. It's funny see to so many drop him and Zero keeps doing what he does.
