GGs! Yeah, matches were fun!

I think I kinda really like that Thunder custom, though most matchups I'll probably stick with the regular version.

Did you have a different Thunder that has a delayed bolt? We're talking about the down-b, right? That was tripping me up, either that or I haven't fought Pika in forever.

Also gotta remember never to put off homework until the night before it's due again. >.<;;;

I'm still up for some games if someone wants to play. Just want to try out more customs...

Yeah, it's called Distant Thunder; it's much more similar to Melee/Brawl's version of Thunder where you can use it to kill off the top of the screen, rather than the regular Thunder in this game where it's much faster and a spike.

Haha, I used to do that all the time when I was still in school; but you mustn't be careless!

Heh, yea I did not think that would kill at all!

Anyways those were some really fun matches dude! Your Ike and Falco are so freakin good!
Yep they were! Hard for me to play Ike for a long period since he's such a read heavy character, so had to switch to Falco.

Really like how you space out your moves and stuff with Marth, caught me off-guard a lot of time. Barely see players do that. Same goes for your Zelda as well.

Okay, it's official. I suck with playing as Mega Man. :(

To be fair, Megaman is a bit of a tough character to use effectively. Keeping proper spacing with him can be difficult against rush-down opponents, but he has the tools to annoy the living hell out of most characters. Especially those without range attacks.

Also, there's this new tidbit:

Anyone wanna go for a few 1v1s? I'm gonna head to bed pretty soon.

It just sucks that I had to use cheep shots to get into knocking Marth off the screen, and I hate being cheep.

Thanks for the games Kars, sorry I have a side of lag along with my terrible play lol. If you have any pointers for me I'll try to practice for the next time. I can't seem to approach your Mewtwo at all. =(
Some general tips:
-Your approach is very linear. Not a lot of rolling or mind games. You seem to want to "get in" a lot, even with spacing characters like Lucina. Take your time in approaching properly.

-You never tech out of combos. When you are floating around, you can air dodge and jump. Never land prone on a platform, that gets you killed.

-Learn the limitations of your jumps. Mewtwo can recover from anywhere, but Lucina and Ganondorf cannot.

-Learn how to cancel your dash into a block. You got hit by a lot of projectiles.

-Aside from Shield Breaker, it feels like you use moves without a lot of consideration for what is appropriate. Down B with Ganondorf on top of me 4 times in a row is pretty predictable. I got hit the first time, but when I punish it the second time, that should be your clue to back off on that strategy.

-Dont charge smash attacks half a screen away. Every once in a while your opponent will run into it, but it usually gets you hit.

Practice up on this stuff and we will play again. Mewtwo is hard to approach. That is just his thing. He has great defensive abilities that make you work to get in. He needs it because he is so light.

No he has a gamebreaking bug that prevents you from using him in Singleplayer mode without jeopardizing your save.

Oh wow, I had completely forgotten about that bug. Well, I haven't received any patches or updates to the game. Perhaps they are witholding until the general release of Mewtwo?

Cool, thanks Kars. My bit of patience happens to die off in an online environment so I'll have to work on that and my reactions to some of those moves. Hope we get to play again sometime.

Also Karst, when did you go from thinking FD / Omega was the best stage to Battlefield being the best stage? That's all you picked, lol.

We will, unless you stop playing. ;)

It is more that I am on day 4 of a brand new character, and picking the same stages helps me learn by giving myself a comfort zone. Battlefield and FD are my starting points. I will open up more as I play him, but a new stage will throw my mind for a loop.

Wuhu Island. Master it. Love it.

Is anyone from bracket 8 still here to play?

Btw Karst, what happens in case of unplayable lag that doesn't get any better after multiple attempts?

I feel like with Mewtwo, I will be able to be more flexible with my stages. Bowser's recovery makes stage transitions scary.

Why Wuhu?

The player that isn't wired forfeits.

...is what I want to say.

If it is completely unplayable, I am fine with both players agreeing to a draw and getting a half point.

If it happens to one person a lot, I think that is grounds for removal.

Yooo I'm listening to some Pokemon Rumble music because I loved the Mewtwo theme in that game and I find out Cyberman uploaded it, shoutout to that guy for letting me listen to it some more.

ayy but now I need Mewtwo tips because my Mewtwo is so fraudulent ;____; Why can't I be aggressive with him?

So when we do really outrageous things we need to send replays to each other. Especially with characters that multiple people main. I know a couple of people in particular have trouble using DK and I'd be happy to share some of my better replays. Not even one sided ones against garbage people but really awesome nail bitting replays.

So I forget who it is but someone here mains Charizard as well. So I'm requesting amazing or otherwise informative replays of him, DK, Bowser and Mewtwo.

NNID is Romancedawn.

Well, also Battlefield is probably one of Mewtwo's better stages because his side-b will pop most of the cast up (besides plumbers and mechanical characters) onto the L/R platforms, making it both a safe move and leading into a possible followup. So it makes sense regardless of your justification.

That too!

Speaking of mewtwo's command grab, at what % is it safe? I've been able to throw nairs and charge shots upon being grabbed

I just started doing 1v1 For Glory on a consistent basis. What do folks on here consider a respectable win/loss record? I can't tell if I'm terrible or just average.
