How do I deal with spot dodge spam or defensive playstyles?
Use a move that stays out for longer. For falcon, his down tilt or jab combo could work.

Starting tomorrow I'll be busy until Monday working on a paper, today's just my break day after 2 back-to-back finals.
After that my college semester will be over though so I should be good to play a lot more from then on.

It's the SmashGAF Census 2015 kick-off post!
What is this?
I'm interested in getting an overall picture of who the most-played (and least-played) characters are among the SmashGAF community. Based on some early positive responses and participation, at least some of you are interested in this data too, so I'm making it an Official Thing!
What's the point?
It's just something I personally find interesting, and it's data that at least a few of you are interested in too. It's all for fun, optional, etc. You don't have to participate, but why not? It won't take even a minute of your time!
How do I participate?
Simply fill out this form or, alternatively, send me a PM that lists (in order) your main, secondary, and tertiary character. (Three characters in total.) I'm assigning points to characters based on their position in your rotation. It shakes out like this:
Main: 3 points
Secondary: 2 points
Tertiary: 1 point
At the end of the data-collecting period, I'll tally everything up and that will give us a rough estimate of who SmashGAF's most- and least-played characters are. I'll probably do a top 15/20 countdown thing like OricWindstar did for his most popular Smash veteran/newcomer polls before Smash Wii U/3DS released.
How long do I have to respond?
Roughly two weeks. The data submission period starts now and will remain open until 11:59pm on Sunday, May 17th.
That's all?
Yep, that's all! That's literally all you need to do to participate. Please DO NOT post your submissions in this thread - only use the Google Form or PM them to me! I don't want to clutter the Smash threads with this, and there's no reason that needs to happen. To discourage people from doing this, I will not count submissions posted in this thread.
What if I don't want to participate?
Then don't! Ignore this post (and the subsequent reminder posts) and go about your day.
Some useful things to know:
- Mewtwo is eligible.
- All three Mii Fighters are eligible, and I'm counting them as separate characters for the purposes of this census

While many of us undoubtedly main our favorite characters already, and that's fine, this census is meant to measure who the most-played characters among SmashGAF are, not necessarily everyone's "favorites." (But if your favorites are your main and secondaries, again, that's fine!)
Finally, if anyone with mad Photoshop skills and a little free time is interested in making banners/images for the winners like in OricWindstar's prior polls, PM me and let's make it happen!

Unfortunately that's like a half second of button lag. We could play it but I don't think either of us would be playing representative of our ability...
Edit: how far away are you? I'm in California. If you don't have a roommate or something clogging your line and this is the best it's going to be we can do it.
Hmm, Boney is in Chile (right Boney?) but I get a much better connection with him. Like I said, if nothing's sucking on your connection right now then it sounds like this will be the best it's going to get.

I won 5 to 3 if I counted correctly. But neither of us did all that well with the lag. I SD'd a couple times because of it myself. What do you think jnWake? If you'd like to split the point we can.

I think it's fine. I killed myself once with the lag (twice maybe haha), but I feel it's a fair score.

Anyone want to play? I've got a tournament in the next two weeks and I'd like to make it past the first round at least. No customs unfortunately, but you can use them when you play if you want.
