You need to play Boney. I've got a lot of Samus practice off him, even if he wins practically all our matches. In any case, I feel Samus is a tough match for Samus, you can't really spam eggs that much because her projectiles are fast enough to hit you even if you do them in the air. Samus also has decent with her aerials so you have to be careful of her uAir and bAir. Her grab is also decent, at least compared to Yoshi's pitiful grab. It seems the better choice against Samus is to be stupidly aggresive.



You handled the match-up pretty well against me though (even with the lag) ;_;

Because of the lag both of our play-styles had to change towards quick attacks, teching was difficult etc, so I can't consider our matches to have been truly competitive. Maybe we'll fight again sometime when it's not as laggy... if that's possible. Are you wired?

Haha yeah, I've mained Link in every Smash, so I wouldn't mind more practice some time (though not anymore right now, I'm gonna sleep soon lol). He's still a lot of fun, especially with bomb edgeguard shenanigans, I wanna really feel him again.

Basically, I need to stop Shulking about it and Pikachu my master sword again. :P

Nope. Not possible at the moment due to the setup in my house. If it's ever possible I'll try though, even if importing a LAN adapter is a pain haha.

yeah, seems like you gave him enough time to feel him again, you will get around that, right now I am feeling that way but with ZSS, and she wasn't even touched in this patch! I need to practice new tactics with that hottie
 
GGs Fandangox. I enjoyed our set. It took me a few to get back to Bowser mode. Mewtwo vs. Falcon is still a process of learning for me. That was also my first Toon Link and Shulk with him, so I was trying to learn.
 
gg's Kars, incredible Mewtwo, I haven't played many, but you definitely make the character look overpowered :p Good spacing and approaching, I had to go through most of the characters until I could finally be able to properly approach with Falcon (remember our first Falcon Vs Mewtwo match...)

Your bowser is pretty good too, disappointed that my Shulk was not very good today..
 
I'm up to play if anyone's around. Or bracket 3 ranbats...

Don't forget you can get a wired network going over electricity with a powerline device.

Damn, you make it sound like my Bowser really was surpassed by Mewtwo. :-O I am glad Mewtwo is doing well against people. I still have a lot to learn with him.

Falcon is one of the reasons I have been working to drop Bowser. The footsies aspect of the match is in Falcon's favor, and even then it is sooo easy for Bowser to get gimped by the dair which happened quite a few times. I still enjoy playing him sometimes, but...

Falcon is also really hard for Mewtwo to deal with. The dash is just so fast, I don't know how to handle it well. Against Toon Link and Shulk, I felt like Mewtwo could potentially establish 100% match control if I made the right decisions. Like, there came a point where you just had to rush with Toon Link because Mewtwo could counter all three of his projectiles. I don't feel that way against Falcon. I feel like I am just getting hits in here and there without any legitimate strategy.

Your Falcon is definitely your best character. I think you should explore some customs, though. Shulk and Toon Link benefit a lot from them.

Also, three highlights for me:
Mewtwo surviving to 179% against Toon Link.
Fortress making Falcon trip 5 times in a row. I was blown away by that.
Mewtwo usmash killing at 65% - woah.

Finally, one small criticism: sometimes you landed prone after getting popped pretty high, and I got combos off where I shouldn't have. Consider tapping dodge so that doesn't happen.

It definitely was, although we did play most of the bowser matches with Falcon, so I had the matchup advantage there.

Nah, you shouldn't drop the character because of the matchup, specially if you have fun with it.

I don't know I feel like Mewtwo has all of the tools to deal with Falcon, but then again, I could be wrong, I did the best against your Mewtwo when I went aggro with Falcon.

With Toon Link I was counting on you just getting used to reflecting all projectiles so I could do a fake out when throwing bombs and catch you on the reflect animation, but I wasn't able to capitalize on that.

Yeah the trippign was unreal, I pretty much went through the 5 stages of denial in reverse order there lol.

I don't know why I don't airdodge that often, I just feel like I have to wait until the opponent attacks, but I underestimate the airdodge's frames of invincibility.

I feel like Mewtwo has tools to deal with anything, though stages without platforms make it much harder for him. I plan on banning Omega stages and Duck Hunt in ranbats. Smashville is also an uncomfortable stage. He likes small platforms.

Air dodge right when you recover from a hit. Then you are out of tumble.

You can use many different ways to get customs without effort. I just unlocked my final Captain Falcon custom while feeding the dogs, eating a bundt cake, and typing to you. :)

Amiibo/CPU stock fight? I'd probably should try that, Falcon is the only one whose customs I have completed, I just don't feel he needs any, maaybe Toon Link, Fire Arrows might be useful. I also feel Shulk is alright as he is, well at least the way I play him.
 
Man, I cannot get these Mewtwo footstool combos to work...

GGs guys, it's nearly 3 am and my ability to play has deteriorated too much so I'm hitting the hay. Next time I'll bust out my mains if Tipster does! :P

Edit: my shoulders hurt like hell, I need to relax more. That damn Yoshi got me too pumped up. Guess I should start using Mario more.
 
Wait what Yoshi custom was it? I don't believe I know or have seen any of his customs..
