It is a logarithmic scale, so there is really no point in comparing Blue Yoshi and Yellow Yoshi. Everything after Green doesn't really matter.

That's why Mewtwo usually pairs with Villager or Ness. They can absorb Shadow Ball without any risk and gain great benefit. That way Mewtwo can throw them without even reflecting on the situation at hand.

I teamed with a Villager for 6-man doubles (3 teams of 2), and basically I just fed him Shadow Ball all day long while he ate them up and spat them back out. He got 9 KOs in that match.
