Superman 75th Anniversary Animated Short

They finally debuted it. Can't help but notice a few cut corners though, like Kingdom Come Superman. Maybe in a few years there will be an animation godly enough to adapt Kingdom Come.

I was about to say that Superman III made a cameo, but the Atari game isn't the same as what was in the movie. :P

They also proved that they can adapt Gary Frank's art. Superman Unbound wasn't that adaptation!

It was a terrific animation. Makes me cry for a new TV show. In fact, this short should be the intro!

That gave me goosebumps!:O

How do I save it?

I'm not a fan of Supes, but that was awesome!

My regular means of saving flash videos are failing me. If anyone can grab the vid please do so and post a link to it please.

I tried the usual Flash-save plug ins for Firefox like Flashgot and Flash and Video Downloader but nothing seems to be working here.

That was awesome. I would have loved to have seen All Star Supes make an appearance

And throw in maybe Red Sun Supes, some Superman with the Legion of Super Heroes and the ultimate Superman secret identity!

Wow, awesome!

Hopefully this is on the Man of Steel Blu-Ray.

Hearing the Williams them segue into the Zimmer one is sogood.gif. Williams' theme will never be topped, but the one Zimmer came up with is just fantastic too.

That was amazing.

Just watched it again, the transition to Zimmer was awesome. William's Superman is so iconic, but Zimmer's I feel like ups the intensity which can provide the perfect backdrop for some amazing Superman moments.

That was pretty awesome
also that video took forever to pop even when my page was apparently fully loaded, Thought I was missing something.

The red panties are honestly necessary; without them, he becomes a mass of blue and that's just not appealing at all.

Yeah, it became apparent a lot during MoS. However, I think that simply adding a bright yellow belt would alleviate this. New 52 Superman did something similar with a red belt, but it still manages to blend too much into the blue, making it look like he's wearing pajamas. Red isn't bright enough, I guess.

That was perfect. So damn good.

Can't wait to watch it on the MOS blu ray in better quality.

That was pretty good.

Since they should an atari esque game I was hoping they'd show him flying through rings shittily.

What was the part when he split in two?

Electric Superman was an homage to a Silver Age(?) story where he accidentally split himself in two and slips anti-evil formula into everyone's water.

You just gotta have fun sometimes.

Seeing specific comic artstyles translated to animation, and how good the animation itself actually was, I was left wishing for a full new cartoon.

But then I remembered it would just get canceled.

That was pretty good. Makes me realize how much I miss there not being a new Bruce Timm lead DC animated series on TV right now though :(

Really should have had Lois and Clark, Smallville, and Superman Returns. Even if you don't like them the first two are culturally significant takes on the character. Man of Steel is a divisive take that I feel will have little long term relevance, why should it be included and not others?

If not having everything, stick to comics only, or maybe just feature Reeves, Reeve and Fleisher as they are the dominant non-comic takes on Superman.

And the best ever Superman theme is John Ottman's versions of Williams' themes. Zimmer's is not terrible, but is generic blockbuster compared to the truly iconic original.

Um no. If you're going to go with that theme stick with the original and not some bad remake.
