I hate Jaison so much.


Eric should have just kept his mouth shut like he was before. He was always shown on the outskirts of his tribe... he didn't have the swagger to pull off the power play, especially since the two Beta Dogs won immunity.
 
I liked Jaison that moment he pretty much said, "here's what I think...screw what Erik says, let's vote him". But it sucks that he might turn on Russell next episode because I've gone from hating Russell to becoming a fanboy. However, I think that clip was probably misleading, and he was quoting the other tribe that is set on getting Russell. No real reason to think that, I just sort of do.
 
The music and relatively recent release of the latest MI chapter made me think of this:

Damn, I thought we were going to have both hidden idols played tonight. That would have been awesome. Just seeing Russel play his idol was cool, I can't remember the last time I saw a real idol used at tribal council.
 
The editing of all the scrambling this episode was quite entertaining to watch :D

Glad to see Erik get blindsided

Russel is going to have to come up with a new strategy now

Damn, I think Russel is gonna be toast. I think the rocket scientist guy will have his whole tribe go against him now unless they can get a vote going for Laura again. Don't think Foa Foa will want lose another though.
 
Great episode tonight. Sucks that Russell had to play the idol. I'm a total Russell fanboy so I wanted to see Laura go. But I knew with as much time as the editors spent on Laura, she would probably win immunity and Russell's plan would be in shambles.

Erik dug his own grave by being too cocky.

I thought maybe Eric was being such a dick because he knew the votes were coming and was planning on using his idol. Guess not........


Also that was such a stupidly random challenge. Points should have been based on how far you hit the ball and there shouldn't have been an out of bounds at the back. That should have been worth the most points.

There is NO WAY Russell goes home next week - they would never make a promo with it being that obvious. I'm guessing he will win the immunity necklace, so it will probably be Jaison or Laura.

Didn't see the promo, was just guessing based on strategy. You're right though, if they focus on him during the promo it won't be him.

You mean because next season is supposedly Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains? Yeah, I betcha for damn sure he's back next season.

I think he royally screwed himself though by playing the idol. He was as good as dead without that idol --- maybe Laura will realize she's coming up soon and figure some way out to save him. We shall see!
 
Obviously Russell is going to survive the next vote given that the preview made it seem like he will get voted out.
The question is how would he survive beyond next week, why would they not vote him off after that?

But Russell made some big mistakes this week: playing the idol, and showing it to so many members of the opposing tribe while telling each one that they were the only ones who knew about it.

I disagree, he had to play it. He was screwed if he didn't. Too many people knew he had it, and he had to get that toxic thing out of there. The fact is, the idol is really only useful as a bargaining ship. It's more harmful than helpful when everyone knows you have it. It's impossible to guess when people will go after you, so it's best to leverage it while you can, and ditch it as soon as it becomes a liability.
 
Not so much in pictures, but DEFINITELY on the show, Kelly looks a lot like Scarlet Johansson with dirtier hair and skin.

The way they've been hyping Russell all season makes me believe he wins the whole thing...the guy is an average player at best from what we've seen so far though. I don't get the editing of this season whatsoever. One of the weaker seasons in recent memory.
 
I love how the recap tried to make it look like Foa Foa somehow had something to do with how the vote went last week. They did jack shit. Galu already wanted to get rid Laura so Russell bringing it up was pretty redundant. It was Eric not Natalie who had the idea to flush out Russell's idol. And it was Kelly's idea to vote out Eric.

Foa Foa really did nothing but what they were told.

Also why would Natalie be their fallback vote? I guess since Mick just proved himself retarded in the II challenge they don't see him as a threat.

WHY THE FUCK WOULD THEY TARGET KELLY OVER ONE OF THE GUYS?!? I HOPE SHAMBO GET BITTEN BY A SNAKE AND DIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
This is the best season ever thanks to Russel!

I had a feeling the Jaison clip that gave the impression he was going to turn on Russ was misdirection. I called it.
 
Best. Episode. This. Season.

Russel has a point: Just look around at landmarks/weird features and you'll find the idol.
It works better to put it on an exile island. You could skate your way through the whole game theorically the way russel does.

Eric's fist pumping

Looks like they're really gonna be gunning for Russel like the preview showed.
 
Loved this ending. Reminded me of that one season I think with Rafe and all them I think when they had the quadruple blind side thing going on towards the end. It seems CBS got rid of the past seasons on their site or I just can't find them anymore so I can't find out for sure what season it was.

Absolutely amazing ending with lots of holy shit moments. Watching all their reactions and seeing Eric fist pump like crazy was hilarious.

This season has been awesome... and I can't figure out why more people aren't watching it.

Russell all the way bitches.

It's now 7-4, but Russell pretty much has Shambo, so it's really 6-5. One more time and it's even numbers, and then it would be possible for Russell to navigate through this.

Has anyone from a team that was down 2:1 at the merge come back to win before?

I thought it was 7-4 before this vote, but now is 6-4, or really 5-5 when you count Shambo.
