Yeah, I don't like the three way end.

Dec 3: 8 people left
Dec 10: 7 people left
Dec 17: 6 people left
Dec 20: 4-5 people left

Something is going to happen. Maybe someone gets injured coming up...

Maybe they have a double elimination one night.

Yeah that was my first guess. However, it'd be pretty hard to justify or pull off a double eviction when they're already merged. It would be a pretty dick move and I believe the first time it'd ever happen.

Isn't the finale usually a 2/3 hour thing with an elimination or two before the final tribal council? Five people remaining on the 20th is still plausible then.

Russ is the best player in survivor history. If he wants you gone, you are gone, no matter what, and you NEVER see it coming.

Well, John wrote his death warrant when he confronted Russell about the idol. Not to mention he wasn't winning any points when he decided to be stingy about the apple pie. At least we get one more week of Dave Ball's awesome expressions.

I don't feel bad about seeing John go. He wuz a smug mutha.

Eric's reaction was great as usual, as was bitch girl's comment.

The preview is pimping our man Russell some more.

Russel continues to amaze. I don't want to see him go because he's so entertaining. I really hope he makes it to the final's just to see how he answers questions.

Ther'es no way he can make the finals. He has the biggest target on the planet on his back. Next episode he uses the idol, following week he's gone, I'd bet.

Very glad to see John go, but I'd love to see Russell blindsided next week.
This episode was edited so horribly, I would have put money on Russell getting blindsided if I wasn't watching it alone. It was set up so perfectly for each side to realize how he's playing them.

Editing problems: They had all that chicken drama then never fucking showed them eat it so we could how it turned out. I was also disappointed they didn't show Dave talking to his alliance about voting out John. This was the first time they turned on one of their own in full force (besides Shambo) and it was an important step in the game.

I also didn't get why Jaison was freaking out about pissing Shambo off and the numbers going back to 4-4. Just fucking vote her off next week. EVERYONE would be fine with that.

Yeah, with the promo, Russel is staying around past next week for sure. He needs to patch things up with Shambo somehow - him, Natalie, and Shambo were a lock alliance. When it gets to 7, Russell will have to do his best work to stick around.

I also don't get why people try to act all civil when they get voted out. If I was John, I would have flipped my shit and been all "Hey guys Russell has the idol bitches" as I was walking away.

I'm sure it is in the contracts that they can't lash out in any way that may affect the game once removed.

What does that gain you though, besides looking like a douche on national TV? If you are outplayed, you are outplayed.

I thought chickens were going to be let loose in this episode?

This was a horrible episode. No drama, bad editing like the post above mentioned. What's CBS trying to hide from us?

The past two episodes were fantastic.

Why are people always so reluctant to spend their cash in the auctions. I'd have done the same thing Mick did. The second something good came out I'd have thrown down all my money.

Yeah no shit. There's really no point in getting two items (unless it's food + shower/call home). Just drop $500 and be done with it.

I'm currently overly paranoid about editing, so I wouldn't be surprised if the event had a lot more items they didn't show. This one especially seemed pretty short (only one fuck you and no family stuff).

And then Jaison: "Jeff, what happens if we both bid $500....." :lol

Also, that hamburger Mick got was enormous - best item there.

Yeah that was a pretty badass burger. Though a whole chicken would have been sweet too.

It looked so tiny on the plate but when he picked it up, the fucking thing was bigger than his head. So awesome.

Also, despite winning, how horribly did Jaison play that item at Immunity? He played it before anyone even had any stress on their arm. He should have waited for the 4th or 5th knot when things were really starting to pull, then make them wear out while he moved up the rope.

It could of gone either way, and ultimately I probably would have done the same thing he did. He could either:

1. Play it like he did. It gave him an extra six minutes of having no exertion in the beginning so he could save his strength.

2. Save it for a mind fuck at the end. When everyone is struggling and he just demoralizes them by moving up. This wouldn't do much to save his aching muscles, but it would probably cause a couple people to lose their focus and quit.

The way it played out, it was better for him to pick #1 cuz Dave almost beat him anyway.

Yeah, I think playing it right away was the better move, because that's that much less total weight and time to fatigue his arm. That he still looked like he was going to fail at the end means he probably would have lost if he waited to use the advantage. Moving up two knots means the same arm is holding the weight, so Dave probably would have won.

Yeah, I thought that was kind of silly. The rules should have let him move up a total of two times so he could do a 1 and 1 to save arm fatigue. I guess that would have been too much of an advantage though.

Damn. Never in Survivor history has such eye candy remained all the way to the endgame. Adonises Brett and Mick with natural beauties Natalie and Monica. (Sorry, Shambo, Dave and Russell.) And essentially, every current jury member is fit and tan. Crazy.

Meanwhile I'm predicting a Shambo-Russell final two. The pathway is there for both of them: but ironically they need each other, or rather I think Russell realizes that he needs Shambo because the others will soon enough scramble to vote out Russell, and soon after (if not before) it will be Shambo -- successively eliminating the older players -- and he will have an intense pow-wow with her next week to preempt this fate.

Even though he may not be able to convince Shambo to keep Dave (whom she hates) as part of an "elder alliance," he can still convince Dave to join it regardless, who will no doubt soon feel scared by unrest amongst the younger players.

And indeed, if Mick and Jaison do begin to scramble against Russell as the previews indicate, I can imagine Brett going with that, and they will of course turn to Monica to make it an advantage of 4 out of 7 votes, but noticing that these three young guys are themselves becoming scheming threats, she may make a strategic move of her own to vote along with Russell and Dave, making it 3 votes on either side (the young men voting against Russell, and the elders+Monica voting against a young male threat) plus Shambo's vote against Dave. The tie of 3 votes is irrelevant because Shambo will then have to cast the deciding vote against either Russell or the young male, and for reasons described earlier, will follow her "broken Galu" instinct and discard Brett.

Elisabeth and Amber both made it about this far. Colby was also there on the guy side.

Natalie's definitely been my favorite girl all around this season.

I'm wary of being that hard on Dave. He only missed the idol because he fell victim to the most cunning move in Competitive Reality History.
Dave should be off the island just on his reaction alone, this is his reaction when Russell played the idol and fucked up Galu's chances:

Yeah, gotta give her credit. Only female that is really playing the game, in fact after Russell, she's played the best game so far.

:lol

She hasn't done a damned thing. She just votes for who they tell her to vote for. Kelly was much more involved in the strategy of her team and did much better in most of the challenges.

From next week's preview, it sounds like they'll be two tribal councils, which means it's gonna be another 3 way vote at the end. Lame.

She's a good player in challenges and she's smart about how she doesn't get involved in drama at camp. She's easily the most physical woman in the game, and I think she's a lot smarter than they let her appear to be. Also, she scored big points in my book when she was willing to kill a rat for food rather than just run from it.

So she's nice and doesn't get into arguments. Wowee! Hand that girl a million dollars right now. :lol She could be the next Tina or Vecepia. The two most undeserving winners in Survivor history.

Saw this on fark and it made me say wtf...

Two stars of a British celebrity reality TV show filmed in Australia have been charged with animal cruelty by New South Wales police.

Celebrity chef Gino D'Acampo, who won the I'm A Celebrity ... Get Me Out Of Here TV contest, and soap star Stuart Manning were arrested and charged after cooking a rat and serving it with rice as a meal for fellow contestants.

D'Acampo, 33, and Manning, 30, were confronted by RSPCA officers after filming ended late last week on the TV show's set near Dungay in north-eastern NSW.

The News Of The World newspaper and the BBC say that the pair were charged with animal cruelty offences by Murwillumbah police.

They have been ordered to appear in court on February 3.

If found guilty, the pair face up to three years in jail.

The ITV network, which broadcasts the reality TV show in Britain, could also face charges.

I'm watching Survivor: China concurrently. James is the biggest human being I have ever seen. That dude is RIPPED.
