Once you have 3000 messages the oldest message you got will be deleted. if you favorite a message that one won't be deleted.

Really cool that you can insert a photo into the picture.

It would be rather pointless to add a Mii QR code to a message since that would require the recipient to save the image, then save the image on to their computer from the SD card, then putting the SD card back into the 3DS and then photographing it off the computer screen.

Shame really.

Hey gaf! I'm not really doing the Swapnote thing with you guys, I'm mostly doodling with the Penny Arcade forums, but I just figured out a pretty cool thing and I thought I would share it here.

Step 1: Unlock extra backgrounds that let you have full screen photos - snow, pond, bubbles, etc.

Step 2: Find a picture online or draw one yourself and resize it to 640x480 (you will probably want it even smaller with a border, Swapnote cuts off some of the picture)

Step 3: Use a picture editing program to take out all the lines, leaving just the color

Here's the one I made, you can use it too:

Step 4: Save with a name like HNI_1000.jpg and put in the DCIM folder of your 3DS's SD card

Step 5: Import it into a Swapnote and draw the lines over it for a really great effect!

Hopefully this won't just get buried by replies, it's pretty fun and a cool way to add color to your Swapnotes.

I like the Spotpass "Alerts" for new messages, but it appears that the SpotPass alerts -stay- in your Notifications menu permanently. I have to assume this was a mistake on someone's part -- that can't be the -intended- behavior, I hope.

I wish I could get the blue light without getting a message in my notifications. I turned off notifications for Swap Note, but I still wish I could get the blue light.
