SWAT 4 is now available on GOG! (Irrational Games/Activision)

SWAT 4: Gold Edition - $9.99

This is one of the best tactical shooters and co-op experience you could ask for.

One of the many things I love about this game is the focus on the SWAT rules of engagement. You can't just bust down doors and shoot everyone, but have to wait until they impose direct harm to another person. This usually means when they lift their weapon up and point it at someone. There are also non-lethal weapons that do give you the ability to freely fire.

I highly recommend giving this game a chance and playing it co-op with friends.

Ah, I used to love Swat 4. Tough game, creep creepy creepy PERP! PUT DOWN THE WEAP-Oh God I've killed them. It's one if the first games I tried to get into properly multiplayer too, I was forever getting kicked for running on 56k by those elitist swines on 256k.
 
This was a really good game back in the day.

Hard as hell though, iirc. How the hell do you even do those later levels where you can easily lose a guy as soon as you breach?
 
How many copies will we need to buy for Swat 5 to be a thing? ; _ ;
please don't say Rainbow Six: Siege I suck at that game
 
Please Note: SWAT 4: Gold Edition only supports multiplayer connectivity over LAN or direct connection.

Would like a server browser, but still good to grab for friends.

You can just reinstall it from your CDs? Multiplayer is not supported aside from LAN.

Thanks, but I don't think it'll do for me. A big part of SWAT4's charme for me was the presentation, context, little details etc
 
Oh shit.

Immediately bought. I remember having a demo for SWAT4 that I played the hell out of as a kid. £8 is an absolute bargain for something I have wanted for so long digitally.
 
Online Multiplayer doesn't work out the box. LAN does and there are LAN tunnels that take a lot of work to get setup but can recreate the LAN environment over the internet

Thing is, I used to play a pirated copy it back when I was young (and incredibly dumb). I didn't actually own the game.

If anybody is craving a squad-based tactical shooter nowadays, this is the game for you!
 
I said in the other thread, but omg I'm so happy, this has been a day I've been longing for for many many years. SWAT 4 is one of my favourite tactical shooters ever. Would love to play this with GAF.
