Oh wow. Now all we need is the Mechwarrior 2 on GoG and that should be every literal good old game available digitally, right?
You can just reinstall it from your CDs? Multiplayer is not supported aside from LAN.
How is it worthless? A master server would be great, but you can still play online with people you know.
Never played SWAT 4, I'm guessing it's similar to the old R6 games? How does it hold up?
Shoutouts to direct2drive for no longer hosting the Swat 4 download files that I paid for you dumpster fire of a fucking storefront.
I mean, that's completely inconsequential to me since there are plenty of other games from different stores that were delisted, but the storefronts retained the download files for people to redownload.Ehhh that may not actually be their fault. Remember that d2d today is d2d of yesterday in name only. The old storefront died what, half a decade ago? Any old games their predecessor was selling they probably had to renegotiate with the pubs to get back, which in some cases was possible and some not.

To their credit, they at least didn't nuke my serial keys. Not that it matters anymore.
Dude, those Swat 4 files vanished when D2D was still an IGN joint. It has nothing to do with the service changing hands the same way that none of these following companies fought for the ability for me to continue downloading a retail, non-steam version of Vampire: The Masquerade, which is still sitting in that withered account.I don't think you understood the point of my post. D2d died. Totally died. Gone. Vanished. Eradicated. D2d today is not the same store, it just uses the same name.
There's a big difference between a game being delisted on steam and steam closing down, another company buying the rights to the steam name, and opening a new store called "steam" 5-6 years down the line and then selling games. Notably, theyd need to renegotiate certain contracts to maintain products. Some times possible, some times not.
It's not like they went out of their way to stick it in your ass. Activision likely just didn't want to play ball. Not much they could do about it other than face a lawsuit just to please you.
Okay, I've heard about the game but never looked into any gameplay, someone sell me on this.
Just need to download a server browser. Might need a patch, don't know what version gog is.Fuck yes, finally! Does the online work?
This game needs a sequel.
Rainbow Six: Siege is probably the closest we'll get to a sequel unfortunately. This game needs a sequel.
