Speaking as an ethnically Finnish American, I say, so what? What else is new? Sweden is a lawless country of criminals, pirates, and I assume, Trump supporters. What comes out of Sweden? Battlefield. A vision of complete chaos as civilization is destroyed and lives are continuously lost. And what comes out of FInland? Riviting stories, a true mastery of FMV in games, and of course cell phones that could stop a bullet. /s

Before, you could give Fox News the benefit of a doubt, it seemed possible that they were just profiting from morons. Now I'm convinced they're just a bunch of self-selected
morons that inadvertently ruined a world leading nation.
Almost makes you want to purge the media from the other angle and turn it into a harshly regulated meritocracy.
Or maybe journalists should just be forced to live in rags in a non-profit organization, the ones who stay would be driven by a fierce devotion to journalism.
Though then again of course any media regulation is just as dumb as it is when touted by the idiot-right.

Sweden is one of the richtest 1st world western countries(maybe even the richtest if you exclude tiny tax haven countries like Luxemburg or Monaco?), much wealthier than the US and its citizens have a much higher living standard than US Americans do... despite being a Social-Democracy with such evil and vile things as state health care for everyone and without extreme de-regulation for the sake of profit (which according to the Republicans makes everyone wealthier because trickle down even if all the extra money actually ends up in the pockets of the richest 1% and as donations with the GOP instead).
In other words it is living, breathing proof that there are better models for a successful, democratic state (a reason why Liberals and Democrats look up to it so much and want to try to copy some of its elements) than the US and particularly the US conservative, republican version. So Breitbart and Fox news constantly have to its image down and turn it into a fictional apocalyptic hellhole to show everyone that the Republican conservatism is actually the best thing in the world.
You also see it happen with Germany to a much larger extend which despite being a somewhat poorer country than Sweden is much more well known and an easier target thanks to having more refugees and the ability to easily rehash the events of Cologne silvester night 2016 ad infinitum. But because even less Americans know anything about Sweden or have ever been there it is much easier to make stuff like this glorious example of ethic journalism up.
Economic scholars are saying that Sweden has a very good year of growth in front of it, and we got a new election coming up that seems to lean towards the Social Democrats, so I'm afraid not any time soon

Faced with a lack of evidence that supports their bigotry they are they are continuing a narrative that Sweden is hiding immigrant/ refugee crime, perpetuating a greater overall narrative that muslims/blacks/refugees/immigrants are more of a threat than reports may make it seem but mainstream media/ globalists are hiding the reports from the public.
It plays into their bases fears, gives them credibility in their eyes, all the while taking a convenient lack of time and effort.
What's even worse is I bet Monday they come back with,"well we made a mistake but everything he said was true". That's what I remember from O'Reilly...Spend like 10s on an apology then 10 minutes on how he was right anyway.

Yep, weird seeing people saying Malmo is some hellhole. The city was even recommended to me by a Swedish dude I talked to in a bar.

Wrong. They were one of the outlets with a seat in Spicer's briefing on Friday. Also Fox and Friends is great and treats Trump very well. They cant be fake news. Well, except for Shepard Smith who is a filthy liberal who should be on CNN.
