Switch could add games to NES/SNES mini?

Having used hakchi2 to easily add games to my SNES classic mini it occurred to me that Nintendo could give Switch the ability to load new games onto NES/SNES classic mini over USB.

That could be their new approach to Virtual Console. Games would feel more authentic being played using the original style controllers.

Thoughts?

You want them to release an official app that connects the Switch to a secondary device over USB, boots it in FEL mode and flashes new ROMs to the Linux kernel?

At that point they would probably just release an actual Switch VC, lol. Interesting idea, but it seems pretty clear that Ninty views the Classics as closed systems. There's even that cute little .TXT file in the NES Classic warning people not to poke around in there.

They're not going to use a backdoor ROM (or firmware) flash over USB to add games to limited time only systems. This is such a clunky mid-2000s linux tinkerer thing that they'd never recommend it for mass-market audiences.

By selling those games like the OP is proposing? As opposed to those consoles being closed systems without any lanes for additional revenue?

But then you can play it on multiple systems with only paying once. There goes that extra money from making you buy the same game on each system.

More likely they will add Wii Remote support to the Switch for VC purposes. If so you could use the snes/nes mini controllers.

But the idea of adding more games via the Switch, in a Nintendo controlled enviroment, is very clever I give you that.
