Will pick it up at some point. I got to play through prime remastered on the oled.

Metroid Prime is in my top 10 best games of all time. But i didn't like the other Prime games that came after. So even though I am interested in Prime 4, I am also afraid I will not enjoy like Prime 1.

Not that much anymore, I thought Metroid Prime 1 was alright when I first played it on the gamecube and still thought it was alright when I replayed it on the emulator last year. But lost interest at Metroid Prime 2 not even because it was hard but it's just so boring. Metroid Prime 4 could be more fun than 1 and 2 which isn't a high bar so not really too into it.

I guess the interest is enough that if I got the Switch 2 for free than Metroid Prime 4 would be one of the few games I'll try out.

Metroid Prime is the closest thing Nintendo has to an fps. Put a little hair on your soyboy chest FOR ONCE IN YOUR LIFE.

Metroid Prime 1 and 2 are among my all time favourite games. This could be a system seller for me, since I don't have a Switch 2 yet. Apart from the motorcycle-sections, the recent revelation of a quippy Marvel-like character at the very start of the game makes me question the direction of the game. I remain rather sceptical that the atmosphere and gameplay is up there with the old titles.

Of course.

Not only because it's a great series, but because Metroid Prime 4 is a real chance for Nintendo to bring Metroid back as a mainstream franchise after years of mismanagement that nearly buried it. Things got so bad that some fanboys, out of pure damage control, even tried to reframe it as a "niche" series.

Honesty, not really. I love the 2D Metroid games and I liked the first Prime game. I never played the rest of them though. I don't really think I want to jump into 4 not playing the others. They should have released a remastered trilogy collection on the Switch before 4.

I'll just leave this here, then. Can't wait for Metroid Prime: Disney Adults Edition. Even if these NPCs only take up 10% of gameplay time, their inclusion as tutorials disguised in millenial writing is antithetical to the exploration and environmental storytelling that Metroid has at its core.

Yes, I am interested. I like Metroid, I like the idea of a 3D Metroidvania. I liked the previous Prime games. I do trust Retro.

Bring it on.
