Switch preorder up at Best Buy (US)

Guess I'll preorder since I can cancel, that lineup is not selling me at the moment though when I let reason take over closer to launch.

Even more so since I have a Wii U for that Zelda...

I got my Wii U via a Best Buy preorder for store pickup. Held it for several months before launch, no issues.
 
Got my order confirmations for the Switch and Zelda. Hopefully I wont regret it.

Oh cool - don't have GCU since I'm a pretty lapsed gamer for the most part, but I'm guessing more people have Prime than GCU anyway (maybe not on this forum though lol).

It's fine, once you add to cart and checkout, it switches back to the actual title. You should still see an option to add to cart.

edit: nevermind, looks like they took them down? Got my orders in though.
edit2: annnnddd looks like SMO is back up, but BotW still looks to be down
 
Yeah I can confirm Preorders are still being accepted. I am watching overtime the list of available locations in my state for pickup disappear. So they are making sure each store only sells so many
 
I'd like to order Zelda there as well with my new gamer's club thing. Will they lower it to the discount price when I go pick it up? Currently showing $59.99.
 
Put in 2 orders, one for pickup at my local best buy, and one for shipping. I don't trust my local best buy enough to hold it lol.
 
Best Buy preorders put a hold on the funds initially. So if you used a debit card you won't have access to those funds for a few days. But they won't actually take the money out till it ships, gets picked up

For those of you who are more knowledgable with the Best Buy preordering process, in that email that said my card was declined it said I had 24 hours to update the order. Do you know if my potential spot has been given up cause of the payment error?

Okay so to be 100% clear I can safely have my bank account dip below the price of the purchase during the period of them removing the hold and before it's ready for pickup without having to worry about my order being cancelled?
 
Got my preorder in! Looks like in-store pickup locations in Southern California are starting to become unavailable now. Get 'em while you can, especially if you're in a populated area.

They should know their allocations.

Gamestops put signs of the door at closing with how many preorders they'd be taking in the morning.

you answered your own question. its being held for you for 24 hrs to give you time to update your payment arrangement.

i tried to preorder without having 300 and its telling me payment error

Nope your order is still there but after 24 hours if not corrected it will be deleted
 
Anecdotal observation based on store pick-up options – I bet the colored SKU has lower availability.
 
I got mine pre-ordred with in-store pickup, yet I get this in the email "ESTIMATED PICKUP DATE: FRI 01/13". Hopefully they don't cancel this one me.
 
Hope I don't have any issues with my pre-order since I had to submit twice. The first time my credit card flagged the purchase as potential fraud. I just hope they don't cancel it since I had back-to-back orders, even though one didn't go through.
