You're telling me I can play a game set in the mind-numbingly terrible half of a mediocre anime?

Yeah. Alright, I'll actually play that.
 
I'm happy with Hollow Fragment but if the translation is going to be like that again i'm out, i've never played a game with worse localization
 
So this has a new story? Man, that is a great thing :D; as the anime's version of this side of the story is just.....so horrid X(.

The fact the game will have air combat means the combat system will be even better :), so that is a great thing by itself :D.

I thought the first season of SAO only has around 13 episodes? /JK

I now have to petition Sony to put a certain IP of theirs for a crossover / collaboration. Man, just thinking of using that female charac with a pet cat flying around if I'm bored doing quests is just so hnnnnnggg....
 
Looks.. interesting? Ill keep an eye on it. I hoped the SAO game they teased would be a PS4 game but.. Ill take what I can get at this point. If it gets translated in the first place lol

Seems to be another spin-off like the rest too since Silica shouldn't be in there..
This is a good thing for the story.
 
Hopefully it's a direct alternate timeline sequel to HF and doesn't use the terrible scenario from the anime.

Well, the trailer shows everyone being really happy 'playing' ALO, so....I guess they aren't trapped :).

Unless they are using the old NerveGear models, they have no reason to be trapped in ALO; the ending of Hallow Fragment even shows everyone in the real world, including Asuna (which would be the prime candidate to be 'trapped' in ALO, considering the events in the anime), so I think they are 'free' so to speak :). If anything, they are playing the game for fun instead of a major reason, and they discover the bad guy's core plan by the middle of this new game (him using the 'trapped' minds from SAO to do experiments and stuff), THEN the main conflict begins or something.

If anything, the developers should know how bad the second half of season 1 was, so they would (I HOPE they do :l) avoid all the crap the anime pulled in the second half of S1 :).

You mean Kirito getting 'cheating' the system to make the bad guy suffer so much? I mean, that would be a great way to close off the game :D....but the reason it was so awesome was due to how justified the suffering was; that pervert really hurt Asuna so of course Krito would be more then pissed off to do this. Hell even Hethcliff just walks in and more or less says "...This is just messed up man. Here is my password and user name; beat the shit out of that prick and get out of here".
 
I was a littlebit worried about how Alfheim Online would turn out gameplay wise but it suprisingly looks like fun, probably shouldn't be suprised after how fun a ARPG Hollow Fragment was.

Will be sure to pick up on Vita.

I'll buy it if they localize it.



I might even import it if they don't. Anything that even might redeem the ALO arc in the show is worth it, imo.
 
If it's localized, I wonder if Namco Bandai will actually bother to translate the damn game this time.

It was better than the first half. "Okay...you can call me a Beater." And let's not forget how awesome it was when they lived in a cabin! And uh...that really terrible Christmas episode.
 
Air combat looks surprisingly good, thank god. Anyway, I'm having a great time with Hollow Fragment so this is a definite day 1 purchase.
 
core gameplay doesn't seem that different besides 3d dodge... i hope? hope they find a good substitute for boring random feeling dungeons.

And hope you can transform into random mcguffin demon lord like in the show

what did it say about the 2nd game at the end of hte teaser?
