SYN a cyberpunk game by Tencent

I like how in 15 years we'll have cyborg pet animals and city holograms. What's next, fully terraformed Mars in 30 years? XD

That looks cool. Have fun playing it. I have to pass.

Companies owned by the CCP such as Tencent will eventually become home to the most popular games. Once that is the case, youth generations will grow up internalizing concepts such as censorship, government mandated discrimination and the death of privacy as "necessary" aspects of life. I'll be gone by then, and it sort of makes me glad.

Good to know there are others out there that can see the bigger picture.

Not even boobs and pandas in exoskeletons can make up for Tencent.

I think...

Unfortunately these devs will be heavily censored from doing anything remotely interesting outside mild titillation slapped on top of generic action gameplay. They have the some art talent, but everything else is pretty much curtailed. There's no doing a proper Cyberpunk game with the restrictions CCP pushes on games these days. The same is true for the vast majority of cultural products coming from China. This is why China will never be a cultural power house of any sort as long as an authoritarian conservative regime shackles it.

Credit where it's due, the hair looks extremely good (even on a 720p video).

I think this looks like it skews to a younger demographic than Cyberpunk 2077 and the addition of a 'pet' will really work with a tween/young teenager market.

I suspect it will be much more popular than some of the negative commenters on here suspect.

Says pc and console...is what i know..maybe IbizaPocholo IbizaPocholo can find some news
This is what i found:

1. Under such cyberpunk themes, the code name SYN has launched very unique character and pet settings.
2. Tencent Photon cooperated with Epic to jointly study the application of the Strand based hair system technology. This technology subverts the current process of using facial patches to produce hair, achieves extremely realistic hair effects, and adds a custom system. It may become a very important application technology for the next generation of console games. At the same time, it also relies on photon's advanced motion capture technology to make character movements more natural and realistic.
3. In addition, pet settings are also a highlight. In line with the cyberpunk theme, the pet in the code name SYN is bound to a highly technological mecha exoskeleton.
4. Photon has built a set of special exoskeleton binding tools to control complex exoskeleton joint movements and make animal movement smoother.

PC and PS5 for sure and maybe xsx my guess

THere have been quite a lot of chinese traditional games coming out and to be fair they are quite good (Bright memory, made by a single persone is the best FPS of the year), Goujan 3 is awesdome even if a bit too slow for my taste

Hopefully these new Cyberpunk games will make it easier for a DEUS EX sequel to come out. If Cyberpunk turns out to be very popular, more than one company will probably try to cash in on its success.

This looks interesting to me. Hopefully this comes out on Xbox. For me, it all depends on if it has good gunplay.

CP2077's "hype" intrigues me too, but nothing it has shown makes it a must buy. Still not convinced about its gunplay. Not sure why everyone "knows" it is a good game.

Thats just complete trash lies :messenger_tears_of_joy: it probably took literal minutes to render each frame of those hairstyles :messenger_tears_of_joy:

Hopefully they can reduce the frametimes from around 100,000ms to under 33.33ms before release 🤞

Always funny to read messages such as "Fuck Tencent" for whatever reason, while people actually stack Chinese manufactured devices in their home.

Because most people conveniently ignore that their phone might be produced in China, or even the dresses and shoes they are wearing everyday, yet they act like supporting tencent is bad because chinese lol.
Also some of the biggest games in the world got Tencent behind them and people ignore that.

You can take your award and shove it if your going to be a coward and not explain things.
I think the game doesn't look good, did I hurt your feelings?

I assume he is referencing your comment about it looking like a PS3/X360 game, which is clearly an exaggeration for emphasis on your part.

I'm not sure what it is that makes most chinese games so unappealing to me, even though I really like chinese culture and history. I get the feel that they lack an identity of their own, they just seem so soulless.
Yeah they feel like borrowed mashups of Japanese and western games. But rapidly getting better for sure. Guijian 3 is a sign of better things to come.

Well, you obviously were looking for answers, angrily so, and the other person was not responding (it is possible by the way for people to be away from a forum for hours at a time: work, family, activities, etc.), so I tried to alleviate your confusion. Your belligerent response towards me is both unwanted and unwarranted. Chill, I am not your enemy, even if we disagree about how this game looks.

You think that's angry and belligerent ? 😂
I love everyone unless it gets personal and that includes you 🥰
