They access the soc through the soc hole. When it's not in use, it will be stored away in the soc drawer.

Developers will have to worry about loose threads though when using the soc:/

You have an environment which ensure QoS, access to hardware which isn't compromised by the OS layer. You then have a dedicated audio engine and all the network stacks, whatever also run on the OS layer.

Just because it would alleviate a lot of performance penalties does not mean they need to know.

No need to, because everything will be cleared up at the official unveil. 99% of people don't know about this stuff, or even know that there's new consoles coming out this year yet. I prefer DS3 built in Lithium batteries,hassle-free and you can charge them while playing too.

Durango relies on a mini 360 for BC. Durango has a built in 360 SOC.
