Tatsunoko vs Capcom US trailer + PR (5 new characters and online battling!)

I think Capcom's handling the netcode though, not Nintendo.
E3 Protip: Japan Online Blows

But you're right, wifi-only matches on a system with presumably fuckawful API's will probably be great.

Honestly I'd prefer Vergil
or Nero

Well, Nero WAS the one who was actually on that "didn't quite make it" list from a few months back. :lol

Any way...guess I'm double-dipping, as well.

No nero please.

standard A,B,C combo with his arm grab infinite ;[

Wii on-line rocks hard! Tatsunoko vs. Capcom only makes it rock even harder!

Now I'm actually glad someone stole my Japanese import copy from the mailship!

Man, I wish I liked 2D fighters better. I want this just for the Battle of the Planets/Gatchaman characters.
What's not to like about fighting games? Just play with a buddy and they're hours of fun at any skill level.

Amazing. I was assuming we'd get the same version sans 1 or 2 characters and no online.

But wow, 5 new characters, a shitty character removed (if it is indeed that fat genie character) and online. Wii GOTY

I love Capcom's media assets. Hot off my press and soon to be cut and framed.

BTW, read in the srk forum that Gene from Godhand is hinted as a possible character!! based on speculation from an interview

I imagine one of the 5 new characters could be Leon or Chris, to help sell the game to American audiences. Dante is another possibility.

Is the online with SF4 good >.<?

Ill get it if its smooth online. But its pretty great news, it looks awesome. 2d ftw. And ryu looks normal ^_^

Wow, didn't expect it to have online.

The game probably won't sell too well in the US, but I hope they at least profit from it.

I like some 3D fighting games (Soul Calibur, Power Stone, etc.), but for some reason I've never liked the feel of the 2D fighters as much, like they're not as responsive or something. I'm sure I just never got used to them.

I loved BOTP as a kid though, and I still love those character designs. The bird capes and helmets are so cool.

The netcode is pretty good, although inferior to GGPO and HDR. The matchmaking leaves MUCH to be desired. One thing is for sure, if Capcom is doing the netcode, we won't have an input lag clusterfuck like with Brawl.

Five new characters, with the balance, means two Capcom and three Tatsunoko. Worst case scenario, the Capcom characters are Lilith and Sylvia, since I think they already have models (they show up in Morrigan and Joe's attacks). The lazy way for Tatsunoko would be to go for similar to existing characters like Yatterman-2 or another Gatchaman character (or if they're really lazy, make Boyacky and Tonzra playable).

But, I'm hoping they won't go for "clones" and will go for new stuff. There's enough characters that the dev team apparently considered making that they should be able to go through those. Hoping for Leon at least on the Capcom side, it's ridiculous that RE isn't represented. I wouldn't be surprised if all the new Tatsu characters were from franchises already represented in the game. If licensing was such an issue, it'd be easier to get a new Gatchaman or Yatterman character as opposed to getting a new franchise up there like Speed Racer or Soul Taker.

That's really awesome; might have to get a U.S. Wii if Capcom doesn't re-release this in J-land.
