Man the GOATs :'(

This guy seems like a teacher that cares, and gets it.

Sweet feel good story, also awesome gifs.

Our tech science teacher in the mid 80's at LAMS (Lakenheath American Middle School) did this!!! It's one of the most engaging acts for the kids. Just brought so much enthusiasm to us back then.

Even my third graders react really positively to unique goodbyes. I have one girl who does double fist bumps and she lights up at the end of the day when she says goodbye to me and gets to do our special handshake. Other kids insist on elbows taps, plain old handshakes, and wrestling related stuff. It helps build relationships and trust which makes for a stronger learning environment.

My kids go to a Montessori school and one of the standard things in Montessori is first thing each morning every single kid is greeted by name and with a handshake upon entering the school. I've always thought it was a really nice routine for earning a giving respect to the kids.

Inspiring thread also becomes hilarious thread. This made my morning.

Amazing. Never change GAF.

I'm in school to be a teacher rn and holy shit I want to be as good as him. That's a great way to show each and every student that you recognize their existence as a person, which some kids desperately need.

Also I still wish Bernie was the prez, that guy is on point

Find the things kids like and capatilse on it. I have 4 diff groups running as well as coaching. My fav is our overwatch group, this is highschool mind you but kids are crazy for overwatch.

We say hello and goodbye using some of the character banter and phrases and every friday for 2-3 hours after school the kids bring their playstations as do I, I make them come up with a strategy and gameplan for a macth for atleast 20 mintues and then they play and try to capatilise on it and if it doesnt work out we systematically break it down and how we can improve the next match whilst focusing on team composition as well
